Metapack, a ShipStation Global brand and a provider of ecommerce delivery management solutions, has been selected by Currys, the UK’s leading omnichannel technology retailer, to enhance its delivery operations. The partnership is aimed at improving delivery choices, increasing order visibility and providing a smoother shopping experience for millions of customers across the UK.

Under the agreement, Currys will use Metapack’s intelligent delivery platform to offer customers more delivery options during checkout while providing real-time tracking throughout the delivery process. The platform is designed to help retailers improve delivery performance, reduce operational costs and manage large order volumes more efficiently.

As online shopping continues to grow, customer expectations around delivery speed and convenience are also increasing. Metapack’s latest Ecommerce Delivery Benchmark Report 2026 shows that 61% of UK consumers are now willing to pay for premium delivery services such as same-day or next-day delivery, compared with 50% in 2024. The findings highlight the growing importance of flexible delivery options in improving customer satisfaction.

By adopting Metapack’s technology, Currys plans to respond more effectively to changing customer demand while improving the overall post-purchase experience. The platform provides access to a wide network of delivery partners, allowing retailers to select the most suitable carrier for each order based on cost, speed and service quality.

Simon Boss, Director of Logistics and Home Delivery at Currys, said the partnership will help the company make shopping easier and more convenient for customers. He added that the technology will improve delivery operations and support the retailer’s ongoing commitment to providing a seamless shopping experience.

Mark Honeyben, Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Europe at ShipStation Global, said delivery has become an important factor in building customer loyalty and strengthening a retailer’s brand. He noted that the partnership with Currys will enable the company to use data-driven delivery solutions that improve efficiency while enhancing the customer experience.

Metapack currently supports many of the leading retailers across the UK and Europe through a single platform that connects businesses with more than 350 delivery carriers and over 4,000 delivery services worldwide. The platform manages more than one billion shipments every year and forms part of ShipStation Global’s wider logistics network, which serves over three million customers and handles more than three billion shipments annually.

Currys operates more than 700 stores across six countries and employs over 25,000 people. Along with selling technology products, the company offers repair, recycling and reuse services to extend the life of electronic devices. It is also working to reduce its environmental impact across operations and has set a target of achieving net-zero emissions by 2040.
