ChemValve-Schmid has announced a series of product enhancements across its ChemLine valve portfolio, introducing new low-temperature solutions, a PFAS-free shut-off valve option, stainless steel housing variants, and additional accessories aimed at improving performance, flexibility, and reliability for process industry applications. The latest developments are designed to address evolving customer requirements while supporting demanding industrial environments. Among the key additions is a low-temperature modification for selected PTFE-lined butterfly valves. The upgraded design incorporates changes to critical valve components to maintain operational efficiency under challenging cold conditions, where material hardness, brittleness, mechanical stress, and operating torque can significantly affect valve performance.
According to the company, the redesigned configuration delivers dependable sealing performance, improved durability, and consistently low operating torque, enabling reliable operation even in low-temperature environments. Lower torque requirements can also simplify actuator selection and control system design, potentially reducing installation, maintenance, and lifecycle operating costs.
Chief Technology Officer Remo Christ said the engineering improvements were developed to ensure reliable valve performance without compromising efficiency in demanding applications. Expanding its product offering further, ChemValve-Schmid has introduced a PFAS-free shut-off valve within its ChemFlyer product family. The new solution is intended for industrial processes where PFAS-free materials are suitable while maintaining compatibility with the company’s established valve platform. By utilizing the same proven technical architecture as existing PTFE-based models, the new valve offers customers an additional material option without requiring changes to system design.
The company has also expanded its ChemLine butterfly and ball valve range with optional cast stainless steel housings. These housings are designed for use in highly corrosive operating environments, providing enhanced corrosion resistance while eliminating the need for protective external coatings.
In response to customer feedback, ChemValve-Schmid has redesigned the hand lever for its ChemBall ball valve to improve ergonomics and ease of operation. The company is also offering custom-manufactured stem extensions in a range of lengths, allowing customers to configure valves with different actuators, gearboxes, and manual operating systems to suit project-specific installation requirements.
Chief Executive Officer Pascal Willi said the latest product enhancements reflect the company’s continued commitment to innovation and customer-focused engineering. “Our objective is to combine technological innovation with practical customer benefits while strengthening our position in the lined valve market. These latest additions to the ChemLine portfolio are designed to meet both today’s operational challenges and the future requirements of the global process industry,” Mr Willi said.
