Centric Software Strengthens Product Data and Compliance Platform

manufacturing-news

Centric Software has expanded the sustainability, compliance and product governance capabilities of Centric PLM™, strengthening its role as a central platform for product information across development and commercialization. The latest enhancements are aimed at helping brands, retailers and manufacturers manage growing requirements around product transparency, sustainability, supplier information and regulatory compliance.

As product transparency becomes increasingly important, companies need accurate and connected information covering products, materials, suppliers and packaging. Centric Software said its expanded capabilities are designed to help organizations manage this information in one place and respond more efficiently to changing regulations.

The platform supports requirements linked to areas such as Extended Producer Responsibility, the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation and the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation. It also prepares businesses for emerging requirements such as Digital Product Passports.

Centric Software said many organizations face challenges because product and sustainability information is spread across different systems. The company’s approach is to bring product, material, supplier and packaging information together within the product lifecycle management process.

The latest Centric PLM enhancements include Sustainability Profiles and automated composition roll-ups to support sustainability reporting, as well as centralized Certificate Management for supplier certifications and expiry tracking. The platform also provides recyclability and circularity information during product development, allowing companies to consider these factors earlier in the design process. In addition, suppliers can share sustainability and compliance information through the platform, improving visibility and collaboration.

Sandy Flint, Senior Materials Manager at STIO, said Centric PLM helps integrate sustainability priorities into product development while providing visibility into materials, environmental impact and compliance information. Fabrice Canonge, CEO of Centric Software, said trusted product information is becoming increasingly important as regulatory and market expectations change.

Centric Software provides enterprise solutions for brands, retailers and manufacturers across several industries, including fashion, luxury, footwear, outdoor, home, cosmetics and personal care, and multi-category retail. The company’s solutions are designed to support product development from the initial concept through commercialization. Centric PLM provides a central environment for managing product information and processes, while its sustainability and compliance capabilities allow organizations to incorporate these requirements into everyday product development activities.

The company said the expanded capabilities will help customers improve reporting, strengthen compliance controls, work more closely with suppliers and make better decisions around product sustainability and circularity. By connecting product information with sustainability and compliance processes, Centric Software aims to help businesses respond to changing regulations while maintaining greater control over product data throughout the product lifecycle.
