Brandworks Technologies Private Limited, a fast-growing design-driven and R&D-led electronics manufacturing company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MeitY Startup Hub (MSH) to strengthen India’s deeptech and AI-driven electronics ecosystem. The collaboration will focus on establishing a Centre of Excellence (CoE) aimed at nurturing the next generation of startups in artificial intelligence and advanced electronics.
The partnership seeks to create a national innovation platform that supports startups operating at the intersection of AI, advanced electronics, and smart manufacturing systems. By combining Brandworks’ robust manufacturing infrastructure with MSH’s ecosystem-building capabilities, the initiative is designed to accelerate product innovation and commercialization in India’s rapidly evolving technology landscape.
Brandworks brings significant operational strength to the collaboration, including two R&D centres, over 320,000 square feet of manufacturing infrastructure, 55 high-efficiency assembly lines, and advanced in-house surface-mount technology (SMT) and printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) capabilities. These resources will play a crucial role in bridging critical gaps in hardware product development, particularly in scaling ideas into commercially viable products.
A key focus of the initiative will be embedding design-for-manufacturability (DFM), rapid prototyping, and product validation frameworks within the startup ecosystem. This approach is expected to address longstanding challenges in hardware innovation, enabling startups to reduce development cycles and accelerate time-to-market readiness.
Startups onboarded through the platform will gain access to a comprehensive ecosystem that includes advanced manufacturing facilities, dedicated R&D labs, engineering support, and testing and certification infrastructure. The collaboration will also provide structured mentorship and industry-aligned guidance, enabling startups to transition seamlessly from concept to commercialization.
Commenting on the partnership, Ishwar Kumhar, Founder and CEO of Brandworks Technologies, said that while India has strong technical talent, the ability to convert ideas into scalable products remains a key challenge. The proposed Centre of Excellence will anchor cohort-based acceleration programs designed to streamline innovation lifecycles and enable faster go-to-market execution. Backed by Brandworks’ global R&D presence in Bengaluru and Taiwan, the initiative will integrate international design expertise and advanced engineering practices into India’s domestic innovation ecosystem.
The collaboration is also expected to foster global partnerships through technology transfer and strategic alliances, while serving as a convergence platform for industry, academia, and government stakeholders. This integrated approach aims to drive applied research, co-innovation, and long-term value creation, strengthening India’s position as a global hub for AI-enabled electronics manufacturing.
The development builds on Brandworks’ recent participation at the India AI Summit 2026, where the company showcased its proprietary AI hardware stack and introduced a new range of AI-powered devices, including an AI Voice Recorder, AI Speaker, and AI Glasses.
