BGauss, an electric mobility company focused on design and engineering, has launched its new Oowah electric scooter, targeting Gen Z riders and first-time two-wheeler buyers. The new EV Pop range combines expressive styling, practical features and everyday electric mobility for urban commuters.
The Oowah offers an ARAI-certified range of 145 km and is powered by a 3.0 kWh CAN-enabled removable Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery. The removable battery allows users without dedicated home charging facilities to take the battery indoors for charging, providing greater flexibility for everyday use.
The scooter is available in four colours – Emerald Shadow, Jamun Punch, Zesty Red and Tangy Toma. Its design features bold graphics and vibrant colour options aimed at younger riders looking for a scooter that reflects their individual style. The Oowah has been developed with a focus on convenience and ease of use. Reverse assist helps riders manoeuvre and park the scooter in tight spaces, while a distance-to-empty indicator provides information to help plan journeys. A side stand sensor adds an additional safety feature, while USB charging allows riders to keep mobile devices powered while travelling.
Full LED lighting improves visibility, and the scooter offers spacious under-seat storage for everyday items. The combination of removable battery technology, practical storage and rider-focused features is intended to make electric mobility easier for first-time EV users.
Hemant Kabra, Founder, BGauss, said the Oowah has been developed in response to changing preferences among India’s younger two-wheeler buyers. He said the new scooter combines contemporary design and individual expression with the reliability and practicality expected from an electric vehicle.
The launch comes as India’s electric two-wheeler market continues to expand. Electric two-wheeler sales crossed 1.11 million units during the first seven months of 2026, while monthly penetration moved above 11%, indicating growing adoption beyond early EV customers. With the Oowah, BGauss is expanding its portfolio into the youth and first-time buyer segment. The company sees an emerging opportunity for electric scooters that combine distinctive design with practical range, everyday usability and accessible technology.
The Oowah is equipped with a 3.0 kWh CAN-enabled removable LFP battery, delivering a claimed 145 km ARAI-certified range. Its feature list includes reverse mode, a distance-to-empty display, side stand sensor, USB charging, full LED lighting and spacious under-seat storage. The new model strengthens BGauss’ strategy of developing electric two-wheelers for different customer requirements as India’s EV market moves towards wider mainstream adoption.
With a combination of advanced technology, sustainable practices, and a growing presence in the market, BGauss is well-positioned to lead the electric two-wheeler revolution in India. As part of the RR Global group, BGauss is committed to reducing emissions and contributing to a cleaner, greener future with its zero-emission electric vehicles.
