Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, today announced that it has received fresh orders worth a total of ₹776 crore from various customers in both defence and non-defence sectors. The new orders reaffirm BEL’s position as one of India’s most trusted and strategically important providers of defence electronics, advanced surveillance systems, communication equipment, and turnkey solutions.
The newly acquired orders include key defence projects comprising state-of-the-art communication systems, electronic warfare equipment, radars, night-vision technologies, and upgrades for existing platforms. These systems will support the operational readiness and modernization efforts of India’s armed forces, enhancing the country’s indigenous defence capabilities in line with the government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat and ‘Make in India’ vision.
In addition to defence contracts, BEL has secured significant orders from the non-defence domain, covering smart city infrastructure, homeland security solutions, cyber-security systems, and advanced electronics for use in critical infrastructure. These projects highlight BEL’s increasing role as a major technology solutions provider beyond traditional defence electronics, strengthening its diversified business portfolio.
BEL stated that all orders will be executed using its in-house technology, manufacturing facilities, and a robust supply chain involving Indian industry partners, MSMEs, and start-ups. This approach ensures high levels of indigenization while promoting domestic manufacturing and innovation across the country’s electronics ecosystem.
