Atlas Copco has strengthened its equipment lifecycle management capabilities with the launch of the Reman Program under its RePower Centre at the Power Technique Customer Centre in India. The OEM-certified remanufacturing initiative is aimed at helping industries restore compressor performance to original factory standards while improving operational efficiency, uptime, and long-term asset reliability.

The program has been developed to address the growing need among industrial customers for cost-effective and sustainable solutions that extend equipment life without requiring complete system replacement. Through a structured refurbishment process, the Reman Program enables businesses to optimize existing assets while reducing maintenance expenditure and operational disruptions.

The initiative caters to a wide range of industries including automotive, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, textiles, cement, steel, infrastructure, and general manufacturing, where uninterrupted operations and equipment dependability remain critical to productivity. By offering factory-controlled restoration services, the program provides customers with an efficient alternative to replacement while ensuring performance consistency across demanding applications.

Under the Reman Program, compressors undergo a comprehensive remanufacturing process that includes systematic dismantling, inspection, restoration, and testing using genuine OEM-certified components. Critical systems such as air ends, drive interfaces, cooling assemblies, and controller modules are recalibrated to meet original equipment specifications. Each remanufactured unit is subjected to extensive testing procedures covering airflow validation, pressure checks, safety evaluations, and final performance verification before deployment.

The program is designed to deliver multiple operational advantages, including restoration of compressor efficiency, improved equipment uptime, extended asset lifespan, lower replacement costs, and enhanced maintenance planning. In addition to operational gains, the initiative also supports sustainable industrial practices by promoting asset reuse and reducing the environmental impact associated with manufacturing new equipment.

Speaking on the development, Prasanna Kulkarni said, “Industries today are increasingly looking for smarter and more sustainable ways to improve operational efficiency while optimizing costs. Through our Reman Program, we are enabling customers to maximize the value of existing assets with a certified solution that enhances reliability, extends equipment life, and supports long-term productivity.”

With the expansion of the RePower Centre, Atlas Copco continues to strengthen its focus on delivering lifecycle-driven industrial solutions that combine performance, reliability, and sustainability. The company believes OEM-certified remanufacturing will play an increasingly important role in helping industries maintain productivity while improving asset utilization in evolving manufacturing environments.
