Atlas Copco Tools and Assembly Systems hosted Innovation Days 2026 at its advanced Innovation Centre in Bavdhan, Pune, bringing together OEMs, Tier suppliers, manufacturing experts and industry stakeholders to experience the next phase of connected and intelligent manufacturing technologies. The three-day showcase highlighted how smart manufacturing is rapidly evolving from isolated automation systems to fully integrated and adaptive production ecosystems. With the theme “Global Innovation, Mastered Locally,” the event demonstrated how globally developed technologies are being tailored to meet the practical and operational needs of Indian manufacturing industries.
As manufacturing environments become increasingly focused on precision engineering, process traceability, productivity and data-driven decision-making, Innovation Days 2026 offered visitors a live simulation of real-world shopfloor operations. The immersive setup enabled customers to understand how advanced technologies can be implemented seamlessly into existing production systems.
The event featured a wide portfolio of industrial technologies, including advanced tightening solutions, battery torquing systems, virtual controller platforms, automation and screw-feeding solutions, vision-enabled dispensing technologies, 2D and 3D vision systems, glass glazing technologies, ISRA glass decking solutions, BIW E-Swirl applications, ENSO controllers and ToolsNet 8 software.
Through live demonstrations, visitors witnessed how connected systems can improve manufacturing consistency, reduce operational complexities and increase overall efficiency across automotive and industrial production lines. Speaking at the event, Chandrashekhar Pathak, General Manager, Industrial Technique, Atlas Copco (India) Pvt Ltd, said the manufacturing sector is witnessing a major transformation driven by connected technologies and intelligent automation.
“Manufacturing is moving towards more flexible, data-driven and interconnected ecosystems. Innovation Days 2026 has been designed to give customers a practical understanding of how these technologies work together on the shopfloor. The platform allows manufacturers to evaluate how smart solutions can improve productivity, accuracy and process reliability in real operating conditions,” he said.
He further added that the company decided to host the second edition of Innovation Days following the strong industry response received during the inaugural event in 2025. “The encouraging participation and customer engagement during the previous edition motivated us to expand the platform further this year. We look forward to strengthening this initiative into an annual industry event focused on manufacturing innovation and collaboration,” he added.
The Innovation Centre itself has been developed as a hands-on technology environment where customers can evaluate manufacturing solutions before large-scale deployment. The platform also reflects the growing industry shift towards integrated production systems capable of supporting scalable and future-ready manufacturing operations. With increasing adoption of automation, digital tools and smart production technologies across India’s manufacturing landscape, Innovation Days 2026 served as a collaborative platform for technology exploration, knowledge sharing and industrial transformation.
