Aerolloy Technologies Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of PTC Industries Limited, has successfully completed the installation and commissioning trials of its advanced 4500/5100 tonne intelligent open die forging system at its Strategic Materials Technology Complex in the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor.
The state-of-the-art system is designed to process Titanium, Superalloys, and other advanced high-performance materials used in critical aerospace, defence, and energy applications. With capabilities to manufacture complex, high-integrity components, the facility is positioned to support next-generation aero engines, space propulsion systems, and industrial gas turbines.
This development marks a major milestone in India’s push toward self-reliance in high-performance materials manufacturing. Open die forging at this scale requires deep expertise in metallurgy, precision engineering, and process control—capabilities that remain limited to a select group of global manufacturers. With this installation, Aerolloy significantly expands its ability to deliver high-value, aerospace-grade components.
The forging system complements the company’s recently operationalized Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM) and Vacuum Arc Remelting (VAR) facilities. Together, these capabilities enable a fully integrated production chain—from raw material melting and refining to casting and large-scale forging—within a single ecosystem.
Sachin Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director of PTC Industries, described the achievement as a defining moment for both the company and India’s aerospace manufacturing sector. He emphasized that the integration of melting, casting, and forging capabilities under one roof positions the group among a select few global players offering such comprehensive solutions.
The new facility is expected to enhance supply chain efficiency, improve quality control, and reduce dependence on imports of critical aerospace forgings. It also strengthens India’s position as a competitive supplier in the global aerospace and defence market, where demand for forged Titanium and Superalloy components continues to rise. With increasing global demand driven by commercial aviation, defence modernization, and space exploration, Aerolloy is well positioned to capture emerging opportunities while contributing to India’s long-term strategic manufacturing goals.
With more than six decades of experience, PTC Industries manufactures precision metal components and strategic materials for critical applications. Through Aerolloy Technologies, the group produces Titanium and superalloy materials and components for aerospace, defence and space programmes, supported by ongoing investments in a fully integrated advanced materials ecosystem at the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor.
