ACME Solar Energy one of India’s leading renewable energy companies, has successfully commissioned a 75 MW solar power project in Rajasthan, marking another milestone in its commitment to clean energy development. The project is located in the Jodhpur district of Rajasthan, a state known for its high solar irradiance and conducive environment for large-scale solar installations. Developed under the National Solar Mission framework, the newly commissioned capacity is expected to supply clean electricity to the grid, powering approximately 150,000 homes and offsetting over 120,000 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide annually.
Speaking on the occasion, Manoj Kumar Upadhyay, Founder and Chairman of ACME Group, said,
“The successful commissioning of the 75 MW plant strengthens our position in the Indian solar sector and reinforces our commitment to a sustainable future. Rajasthan continues to be a key region in our growth strategy, and we are proud to contribute to the state’s and country’s renewable energy goals.”
The plant is equipped with advanced photovoltaic (PV) technology and incorporates robust engineering and monitoring systems to ensure high performance and grid stability. Construction was completed within the projected timeline, adhering to safety and environmental standards throughout the process. With this addition, ACME Solar’s total installed capacity now stands at over 5 GW, reinforcing its position as a significant player in India’s transition to green energy.
ACME Solar Holdings is a prominent player in India’s renewable energy sector, with a diversified portfolio of 6,970 MW across solar, wind, FDRE, and hybrid projects. With this new development, the company’s operational capacity now stands at 2,731.4 MW, with an additional 4,238.6 MW in various stages of development. ACME Solar is known for its in-house EPC and operations & maintenance (O&M) divisions, which enable the company to deliver projects efficiently while maintaining high operational standards, as demonstrated by its industry-leading capacity utilization factor (CUF) and operating margins.
