India’s material handling and warehousing industry has expanded steadily over the past decade, yet one important gap remains in how companies manage access to equipment. Forklifts and other material handling vehicles are often used without a reliable system to verify who is operating them, how long they have been running, or where they are at any given point. Most solutions available today are imported, with limited customisation for local industrial requirements. It is in this space that San Solutions India Private Limited has been developing its technology for over two decades.

The Bangalore-based company, which specialises in biometric and RFID-based automation systems, will present its portfolio at the Intralogistics & Warehousing Expo (IWE) 2026 for the first time, bringing a range of products designed specifically for this sector.

The Man Behind the Mission

Santhosh Kumar, Managing Director of San Solutions India, is an engineering graduate from Kerala who began his entrepreneurial journey in 1998 with barcoding solutions before formally establishing the company in 2000. During the Y2K transition period, he shifted the company’s focus towards time recorders and related security system products, later expanding into RFID solutions, biometric systems, and custom-built IoT products.

Under his leadership, the company developed industrial automation and vehicle access solutions, including biometric systems for forklifts and active RFID technologies for tracking and warehouse applications. Despite financial limitations and slow growth during the early years, he built the business through a hands-on “single man army” approach while focusing on proprietary product development and indigenous technology solutions instead of relying on imported system

Building Technology with a Practical Focus

San Solutions India was started in 2000 in Bangalore and has been building its own hardware for over two decades. The company makes a wide range of products for vehicle safety and transport, including AI Dash Cams, vehicle cameras and DVRs, GPS trackers, breath analysers that prevent drunk driving, bus stop announcement systems, and passenger counters for public transport.

It also makes RFID-based student safety systems for schools and biometric systems for forklifts and warehouse vehicles, which are already in use with companies like Maini Material Movement and SFS Equipments. With investors now showing interest, the company is moving into its next phase of growth. Across this journey, the focus has stayed the same: creating products that address day-to-day operational challenges while delivering systems suited to industrial use in India.

What to Expect at IWE 2026

At Stall C10 during IWE 2026, San Solutions India will demonstrate its technology using a live, fully equipped forklift to show how its systems function in a working warehouse environment. The display highlights three core products. The first is a biometric access and roster system that uses fingerprints to ensure only authorised personnel can operate machinery while providing real-time data on usage and driver activity.

The second is an in-house active RFID tracking system designed to provide precise location data for assets and vehicles in indoor spaces where GPS is ineffective. The third is a safety detection system that warns operators about pedestrians or obstacles to help prevent accidents. By moving away from digital presentations and using a working environment, the company will allow visitors to see first-hand how these tools improve security, fleet visibility, and operational safety. The format also reflects the company’s approach of demonstrating how its systems perform in live industrial settings rather than only explaining them in theory.

A Clear Direction, Grounded in Innovation

San Solutions India is coming to IWE 2026 with a straightforward message. The technology exists, it is developed locally, and it is ready. Awareness is the first challenge the company wants to address, because much of the industry still does not know that a domestically developed, fully featured alternative to imported systems is available. Beyond direct sales, the company is open to working with OEMs who want to integrate this technology under their own branding or adapt it to specific product requirements.

What has driven San Solution India through more than two decades is a consistent set of priorities: designing products with operational accuracy, investing in in-house engineering, and delivering complete solutions rather than piecemeal fixes. Bringing biometrics, GPS telematics, and active RFID together on a single platform is where the company stands today, and IWE 2026 is the stage where that work meets its next chapter.
