Steel on Demand, Delivered in 24 Hours: Enlight Metals Brings Its Platform to IWE 2026

Steel is everywhere at an intralogistics show, just not in the way most people notice. It is in the racking systems, the conveyor frames, the structural supports, the loading bays. By the time any of that takes shape on a warehouse floor, the raw material question has long been answered. Enlight Metals wants to be the company that answers it.

Founded in 2024 and headquartered in Pune with a warehouse in Mumbai, Enlight Metals is a steel distribution and procurement platform supplying HR, CR, GP, pipe, structural steel, TMT bars and more to manufacturers and infrastructure projects across Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat. Its client list includes Tata Motors, Mahindra, Skoda, Volkswagen, Pune Metro, and Indian Railways, a range that spans passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and large-scale civil infrastructure. IWE 2026 is the company’s first appearance at the show.

Built for the Gaps

What Enlight Metals is building goes beyond distribution. The company runs enlightmetals.com, an online marketplace where buyers can raise procurement tickets, track steel prices in real time, and get connected to verified sellers across India — including in regions Enlight Metals does not directly serve. The platform charges nothing for this. If a buyer in Delhi needs material and Enlight Metals cannot supply there, the platform connects them with a seller who can.

“If we are not serving anyone, our competitor will serve in that area,” says Vedant Goel, Director at Enlight Metals. The platform, in that sense, is both a service and a retention strategy. It keeps buyers inside the Enlight Metals network even when geography limits the company’s own direct reach.

The technology side is run by co-director Taranjay Goel, with the family also expanding into an ethanol venture, but steel remains the core business, and the platform is built around making that core as frictionless as possible.

The 24-Hour Benchmark

Speed is where Enlight Metals makes its clearest claim. 88% of orders are dispatched within 24 hours of receiving a purchase order. That figure is not aspirational — it is operational, and it rests on a particular approach to inventory.

Most steel distributors stock what sells predictably. Enlight Metals stocks wide. Different thicknesses, different widths, grades and profiles that others do not hold in depth. The result is that when a manufacturer needs something specific and needs it fast, the material is already there. “If you need any of the thicknesses, any of the width, any of the raw material, people come to us and take,” Goel says.

Competitive pricing and Pan-India supply capability, including exports, round out what the company describes as its core USPs. The combination is not common. Pan-India reach at a distributor level, 24-hour dispatch, wide SKU depth, and low pricing rarely sit in the same place. At Enlight Metals, that is the stated offer.

Coming to IWE

The company found its way to IWE through Metal Forming Expo, where it exhibited earlier this year. One show led to the next. From IWE, the company has already committed to India Warehousing Show in Delhi in June, the Mumbai edition in November, and a Tube & Pipe Fair in Hyderabad in July.

At IWE, there will be no product on display. Enlight Metals is a raw material supplier — there is nothing to put on a stand. The purpose is connection. “The objective is very clear: to network with people, to build a relationship,” Goel says.

The audience at IWE is exactly the kind of client base Enlight Metals is after. Warehousing operations, logistics companies, OEMs building out infrastructure — all of them have a steel requirement somewhere upstream. The company’s pitch to that audience is straightforward.

“Without steel, without raw metal, nothing can be produced,” Goel says. “Steel is the main backbone of our economy.” At IWE, Enlight Metals is here to make sure that backbone has a reliable source.
