Ambuja Cements Limited, part of the diversified Adani Group portfolio, has reported a strong financial and operational performance for the quarter and financial year ended March 31, 2026, driven by robust volumes, improved realisations, and operational efficiencies. For FY26, the company recorded its highest-ever annual sales volume of 73.7 million tonnes (MnT). Revenue from operations stood at ₹40,656 crore, while EBITDA reached ₹6,539 crore, translating to ₹887 per metric tonne. Normalised profit after tax for the year came in at ₹2,647 crore, reflecting steady growth despite a challenging external environment.

During the fourth quarter of FY26, Ambuja Cements maintained momentum with sales volume of 19.9 MnT, revenue of ₹10,915 crore, and EBITDA of ₹1,464 crore. The company’s volume growth outpaced industry trends, supported by a higher share of trade and premium products, along with improved utilisation of existing capacities.

Commenting on the performance, Vinod Bahety, Whole Time Director and CEO, said FY26 was a year marked by sectoral consolidation, evolving regulatory frameworks, and external disruptions such as adverse weather and geopolitical developments. Despite these factors, the company sustained growth and strengthened its market position.

The year also marked a strategic shift from expansion to consolidation under the “One Cement Platform” approach, with successful integration of Sanghi and Penna assets into the Ambuja network. This has enhanced operational synergies and scale efficiencies.

Ambuja Cements expanded its installed capacity to 109 MTPA during FY26, supported by commissioning of new grinding units across key locations and additional clinker capacity. Further projects scheduled for commissioning in the first half of FY27 are expected to take total capacity to approximately 119 MTPA. The company is aligning future expansion plans with evolving logistics policies, focusing on optimal utilisation and disciplined capital allocation.

On the operational front, the company advanced its digital transformation initiatives, including the rollout of the Cement Intelligent Network Operating Centre (CiNOC), enabling real-time monitoring and data-driven decision-making. Enhanced automation, IoT-based systems, and strengthened cybersecurity frameworks have further improved plant reliability and efficiency.

Sustainability remained a key focus area, with progress on decarbonisation targets validated by global standards. The company maintained strong environmental performance, including water positivity and increased use of waste-derived resources, alongside continued community development initiatives impacting millions.

Looking ahead, the company expects cement demand growth to moderate to around 5 per cent in FY27, influenced by factors such as monsoon variability and global uncertainties. However, long-term infrastructure demand in India remains strong, positioning Ambuja Cements for sustained growth.
