Cimatron is set to showcase its latest CAD/CAM innovations at TAGMA Die & Mould India International Exhibition 2026, with a strong focus on helping die and mould manufacturers improve precision, reduce lead times, and enhance overall shopfloor efficiency.

In a conversation with Machine Maker, Amol Mane, Director – Sales & Marketing, Asia, emphasised the importance of engaging directly with industry stakeholders. “Platforms like TAGMA allow us to interact closely with toolmakers and manufacturers, understand their challenges, and demonstrate how technology can make a real difference to productivity and efficiency,” he said.

Highlighting the company’s showcase at the event, he added, “We are presenting our latest end-to-end CAD/CAM solution designed specifically for die and mould manufacturing. It covers the complete toolmaking process, from design and electrode creation to NC programming and automation, helping manufacturers streamline operations and reduce lead times.”

A key highlight at the exhibition will be the introduction of Cimatron’s Super Finish Technology. “This is an advanced solution developed to achieve superior surface finishes. With its equal point distribution approach, it ensures consistent toolpaths and significantly enhances surface quality, which is critical in precision toolmaking,” he explained.

He further added, “The technology minimises tool marks and can produce near mirror-like finishes, which is especially important for applications like precision moulds. It also ensures uniform tool wear, avoiding localised overcutting and helping tools last longer with more predictable performance.”

Highlighting its shopfloor impact, he said, “By significantly reducing the need for manual polishing and finishing, manufacturers can save valuable time and effort in the die and mould process.” He also noted its effectiveness in complex applications, adding, “It performs exceptionally well on freeform surfaces and intricate components such as automotive lamp moulds and medical parts, where maintaining accuracy and surface quality is critical.”

Speaking about the latest enhancements, he noted, “We are also introducing enhanced programming techniques that make VMC programming faster, easier, and more efficient. These improvements are aimed at reducing programming time, simplifying complex toolpaths, and improving machining accuracy.”

He further elaborated on Cimatron’s integrated suite of solutions, including Cimatron Die, Cimatron Mould, Cimatron Electrode, and Cimatron NC Programming. “Each of these solutions addresses a specific stage of the toolmaking process, but what makes the difference is the seamless integration between them. This ensures consistency, reduces errors, and improves overall productivity.”

On addressing the growing complexity in die and mould manufacturing, he said, “Our 2.5 to 5-axis machining capabilities are designed to handle everything from simple operations to highly complex geometries. With advanced toolpath strategies, reduced setups, and full simulation, manufacturers can achieve high precision, better surface finishes, and faster machining.”

He also highlighted the importance of integration in reducing turnaround time. “Because our CAD and CAM environments are fully integrated, any design changes are automatically reflected in the manufacturing process. This significantly reduces lead times and minimises errors.”

Looking at the broader impact, he added, “In today’s competitive environment, manufacturers need to deliver faster without compromising on quality. By combining automation, intelligent workflows, and high-performance CNC programming, we help reduce rework, minimise scrap, and maximise shopfloor productivity.”

Sharing expectations from the event, Amol Mane said, “We are expecting strong engagement from toolmakers, mould manufacturers, and production engineers. Live demonstrations and technical discussions will be key, as visitors are actively looking for solutions that can help them improve efficiency and stay competitive.”

Summing up Cimatron’s vision, he stated, “Participating in TAGMA Die & Mould India 2026 is an important opportunity for us to engage with the evolving needs of the industry. We are committed to empowering manufacturers with advanced, integrated CAD/CAM solutions that enable smarter, faster, and more efficient production. Our goal is to be a trusted technology partner as the industry moves towards more automated and future-ready operations.”

Cimatron will be present at Hall 2, Stall H-20 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, where visitors can experience its solutions through live demonstrations and technical interactions.
