ACME Solar Holdings Limited has signed two long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with SJVN Limited for the supply of 450 MW / 1,800 MWh of assured peak power. The agreements have been executed through the company’s subsidiary ACME Greentech Seventh Private Limited and will remain in effect for a period of 25 years.
The project was awarded under the Tranche-FDRE-4 tender issued through a tariff-based competitive bidding framework. An electronic reverse auction for the project was conducted on October 9, 2025, and the Letter of Award was issued on November 10, 2025.
Under the agreements, ACME Solar will deliver four hours of guaranteed peak electricity supply during non-solar hours, maintaining an availability level of 90 percent on both monthly and annual bases. The upcoming projects will be connected to Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) substations, enabling power delivery across the national grid.
The company plans to leverage its existing night-time connectivity at high solar irradiation locations in Rajasthan, allowing the system to supply electricity during periods when solar generation is typically unavailable. With the addition of these agreements, ACME Solar has signed 1,690 MW of power purchase contracts during the current financial year, taking its total PPA-backed capacity to 6,270 MW.
ACME Solar Holdings Limited is one of India’s leading renewable energy developers with a diversified portfolio spanning solar power, wind energy, energy storage systems, hybrid renewable projects and Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) solutions. The company currently has an overall project portfolio of 8,071 MW, which includes 2,966 MW of operational contracted capacity and 5,105 MW under construction.
The projects under development also include approximately 17 gigawatt-hours of battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity, which is expected to play a key role in stabilizing renewable power supply and enabling reliable peak energy delivery. Within the under-construction portfolio, ACME Solar has already secured PPAs for 3,304 MW, providing long-term revenue visibility and strengthening the company’s project pipeline.
A key differentiator for ACME Solar is its integrated operating model. The company maintains its own engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) division as well as a dedicated operations and maintenance (O&M) team. This integrated approach allows the company to develop, build and manage projects internally, improving cost control and ensuring consistent operational performance.
The company has reported strong operational efficiency across its renewable assets, reflected in industry-leading capacity utilization factors (CUF) and robust operating margins. By combining renewable generation with energy storage and hybrid technologies, ACME Solar aims to deliver stable and dispatchable green power solutions that meet the evolving requirements of utilities and large-scale energy buyers.
The newly signed PPAs represent another important step in expanding ACME Solar’s presence in the rapidly growing renewable energy market and contribute to India’s broader transition toward sustainable energy infrastructure. Through continued investments in solar, wind and storage projects, the company remains focused on supporting the country’s clean energy targets while strengthening long-term energy reliability across the grid.
