Mitsu Chem Plast Limited (BSE: 540078), a leading name in India’s polymer manufacturing sector, has announced a fresh capacity expansion of approximately 655 metric tonnes per year across its existing manufacturing units. The decision forms part of the company’s ongoing growth roadmap aimed at meeting increasing market demand, reinforcing supply chain reliability, and supporting its long-term goal of surpassing ₹1,000 crore in annual revenue by FY2028.

Following this expansion, Mitsu’s total installed capacity will rise from around 28,424 MT per year to 29,079 MT per year, enhancing its ability to cater to new business opportunities and provide quicker turnaround times for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). The project involves an investment of about ₹85 lakh, fully funded through internal resources. The capital will be used to acquire high-performance machinery designed to improve operational efficiency, raise output quality, and support the company’s sustainability and innovation objectives.

This capacity upgrade strengthens Mitsu’s presence across core segments such as industrial packaging, hospital furniture components, infrastructure products, and emergency handling solutions, ensuring the company remains agile in addressing growing needs from industries including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, disinfectants, and dyes.
