KPIT Technologies Limited (NSE: KPITTECH; BSE: 542651), a provider of software and engineering solutions for the mobility industry, reported revenue of US$176.8 million for the second quarter of FY2026-27. The company recorded year-on-year revenue growth of 6.5% in rupee terms, while revenue in constant currency increased 0.2%. Revenue measured in US dollars declined 2.2% year-on-year.

EBITDA margin stood at 17.8%, expanding by 60 basis points compared with the preceding quarter. EBIT margin was 12.7%. KPIT also secured new engagements with a total contract value of US$213 million during the quarter. The company said growth across trucks and off-highway vehicles, the United States and India, and connected vehicle and aftersales services helped offset an approximately 13% year-on-year revenue decline in its two largest accounts.

Kishor Patil, Co-founder, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of KPIT Technologies, said the mobility industry continued to adjust to changes in technology priorities, investment cycles and business models. He said demand for software-led innovation, operating efficiency and faster product development remained important despite near-term pressures affecting some original equipment manufacturers.

Mr Patil added that KPIT was seeing opportunities across passenger vehicles, trucks and off-highway segments. Its connected vehicle and aftersales offerings were gaining traction, while Beacon, the company’s Mobility Intelligence product, was strengthening its engagement with clients. He said the company’s artificial intelligence-led solutions were helping customers address changing engineering and productivity requirements.

Sachin Tikekar, President and Joint Managing Director of KPIT Technologies, said growth from several existing and new clients had largely offset the impact of lower business from two major accounts. He expects the decline in those accounts to bottom out over the next couple of quarters.

Mr Tikekar said KPIT was focused on expanding emerging accounts, converting its project pipeline into executable programmes and improving delivery predictability. The company has also seen increased opportunities in the United States and India. The integration of Caresoft is strengthening its capabilities in vehicle engineering and manufacturing consulting, creating additional opportunities. KPIT is also increasing the use of AI across engineering, project delivery and internal operations to improve productivity and development speed.

The company works with automotive manufacturers and mobility businesses on software, systems engineering and product development. Its areas of work include connected vehicles, vehicle engineering, mobility intelligence and software-led transformation.

KPIT said its strategy centres on diversifying its customer base, expanding its market presence and developing AI-powered offerings to support longer-term growth and margin improvement. The company has more than 25 years of experience in mobility engineering and software. It reports experience across more than 2,000 vehicle production programmes, with software powering over 20 million vehicles globally.
