Jyoti Structures Limited (JSL), an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company specialising in power transmission infrastructure, has received a Notification of Award from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited for Package TL05 of the ±800 kV HVDC Bipole Barmer-II and South Kalamb Transmission Lines project in Gujarat. The contract is valued at ₹648.91 crore, excluding GST.

The scope covers the supply, erection, testing and commissioning of ±800 kV high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission lines on a total turnkey basis. The project is scheduled for completion within 38 months from the date of the award notification. The latest contract follows two awards worth a combined ₹949.35 crore received by Jyoti Structures from Power Grid on October 26, 2026, for Packages TL01 and TL02 under the same transmission project in Rajasthan. With the addition of Package TL05, the value of the three contracts stands at ₹1,598.26 crore, excluding GST.

The company has also secured a ₹689.93 crore contract from Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited for the 765 kV DC Pachchham–Saykha Transmission Line project in Gujarat. In Sri Lanka, JSL is executing a 220 kV double-circuit transmission line project with Hayleys Fentons Limited to support the evacuation of wind power to the national grid.

Amit Dutta, Chief Operating Officer of Jyoti Structures Limited, said the engineering and execution of ±800 kV HVDC transmission lines involved complex technical requirements and coordination across different project stages. He said the company’s integrated EPC capabilities covered design and engineering, manufacturing, prototype tower testing and site execution. Mr Dutta added that engineering detail, site conditions and quality remained central to the company’s approach to transmission projects.
