RIR Power Electronics Limited (BSE: 517035, NSE: RIR) has reported its unaudited standalone financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, with revenue from operations increasing 32.5% year-on-year and profit after tax (PAT) rising 41.2% to ₹4.44 crore. The company’s PAT margin improved to 12.50% in Q2 FY27 from 11.97% in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. The results reflect growth in operating revenue and profitability amid geopolitical uncertainties and cost pressures.

Alongside its financial performance, RIR Power Electronics has made progress on its planned semiconductor manufacturing facility in Odisha. The project is being developed in two phases, with the first covering epitaxy and packaging and the second involving semiconductor fabrication.

During the quarter, the company completed the erection and installation of Silicon Carbide (SiC) epitaxial wafer manufacturing reactors at its Bhubaneswar facility. Senior officials of the Odisha government visited the facility in September to review its readiness.

The cleanroom construction and infrastructure for power supply through 33 kV lines had been completed in the first quarter of the current financial year. The key equipment required for SiC epitaxial wafer manufacturing has now been installed, while essential power connections, utilities and supporting infrastructure are in place.

Commercial production is expected to begin after the completion of the remaining statutory and regulatory formalities. The company expects the facility to produce SiC epitaxial wafers for domestic and international markets. The project is intended to establish India’s first vertically integrated SiC semiconductor production facility in Odisha.

Dr Harshad Mehta, Non-Executive Chairman of RIR Power Electronics, said the company had made steady progress in revenue and profitability while advancing its semiconductor manufacturing plans. He said the Odisha facility would support the development of domestic semiconductor capabilities and that the company would continue to focus on product development for the railway, defence and satellite technology sectors.

N Ramesh Kumar, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, said revenue from operations had grown 32.5% year-on-year, while PAT increased to ₹4.44 crore. He also highlighted the improvement in PAT margin and said the company remained focused on maintaining growth despite external uncertainties.

The company plans to continue developing products for the railway and power sectors to support its business growth. Its expansion into SiC epitaxial wafer manufacturing is part of its broader effort to strengthen its presence in semiconductor technology and supply products to domestic and global markets.
