Capital Machine has acquired KC Robotics, a robotic systems integrator based in West Chester, Ohio, expanding its capabilities in industrial automation and engineered manufacturing systems. The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. The acquisition is Capital Machine’s first add-on deal since it partnered with Rotunda Capital Partners in March 2025. The move strengthens Capital Machine’s ability to provide manufacturers with complete automation solutions, combining machinery, system engineering, installation and ongoing service.
KC Robotics has more than 35 years of experience designing, building and integrating custom automation systems for manufacturers across North America. Its solutions cover welding, cutting and finishing, material handling, machine tending, assembly and vision-guided applications. The company has in-house engineering, fabrication and robot programming capabilities, along with integrator credentials from FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa Motoman, KUKA, Fronius, ESAB and Miller.
Capital Machine distributes and services metal fabrication equipment, including press brakes, metal cutting machinery and robotic welders. It operates showrooms in Tampa, Atlanta, Dallas, Indianapolis and Harrisburg and provides field service across 22 states. By adding KC Robotics’ engineering capabilities, Capital Machine aims to offer customers a single source for machinery and automation projects. Manufacturers will be able to work with one provider to scope, engineer and deliver integrated systems rather than purchasing equipment separately and engaging another company to complete the automation.
Dan DeBickero, CEO of Capital Machine, said customers increasingly need help addressing automation requirements beyond the supply of individual machines. He said KC Robotics would bring the engineering expertise needed to design and deliver complete systems, supported by Capital Machine’s aftermarket service organisation.
KC Robotics will continue operating under its existing name as part of Capital Machine, with Kyle Carrier remaining at the helm. Customers will continue working with the same engineering and project management team while gaining access to Capital Machine’s wider equipment portfolio and aftermarket services.
Kyle Carrier, CEO of KC Robotics, said the combination would allow the company to serve more manufacturers while drawing on Capital Machine’s service network. He added that customers would retain their existing team while benefiting from the broader resources available through the combined business. Capital Machine has supplied and serviced metal fabrication machinery since 1984. Its product range includes press brakes, metal cutting equipment and robotic welding systems.
KC Robotics is an A3 Certified Robot Integrator specialising in custom industrial automation. The acquisition brings its system integration expertise together with Capital Machine’s equipment distribution and service operations, extending the range of solutions available to manufacturers seeking to automate production processes.
