Funskool India Limited is expanding its portfolio of international toy brands through licensing, manufacturing and distribution partnerships with leading companies from across the world. By combining global brands with its own product development capabilities and manufacturing strength, the company aims to offer Indian children a wider choice of quality toys and games.
Funskool recorded a turnover of ₹329 crore in FY 2025–26. In the first half of FY 2026–27, its export business grew by more than 30%, while domestic business increased by over 20%. The company expects to maintain double-digit growth in both segments and is targeting turnover of more than ₹400 crore for the full financial year, representing growth of over 20%.
Funskool has partnerships with several international toy companies, including Simba Toys of Germany, Moltó of Spain, Dr Wood of Australia, Buffalo Games of the United States, Sanrio of Japan and Spin Master of Canada. It is also expanding its portfolio through new licensed properties, including CoComelon from Moonbug Entertainment.
These partnerships help Funskool bring internationally recognised toys and games to Indian consumers through its manufacturing facilities and nationwide distribution network. The products cover different age groups and categories, including musical toys, activity sets, puzzles, strategy games and pretend-play products.
The company has already introduced products based on Hello Kitty and PAW Patrol in India. Its latest offerings also include products from Simba Toys’ ABC range and Moltó’s early-childhood collection, along with games such as Sushi Go! and Outfoxed! from Buffalo Games.
KA Shabir, CEO of Funskool India Limited, said Indian consumers increasingly look for toys that combine quality, safety, innovation and value. He said the company’s international partnerships, manufacturing capabilities and distribution network help make popular global toys accessible to Indian families.
Over the past six years, Funskool has invested approximately ₹149 crore in expanding its manufacturing facilities and capabilities in Goa and Ranipet, Tamil Nadu. These investments have supported production growth, exports and employment in local communities. Women account for more than 70% of the workforce at its factories. Funskool exported its own-brand and private-label products to more than 63 countries last year. While contract manufacturing for international brands remains a larger part of its business, the company is also working to increase exports under its own brands.
Product development remains an important part of its growth plans. With an in-house design and development centre, Funskool can manage the process from product concept and design to tooling and manufacturing. It introduces around 50 to 60 new products annually.
Recent homegrown products include Blazetrix friction-powered vehicles, Quilling Art and Paper Craft sets, Fairy Makeover creative-play products and the WOOD’E Learning Bus educational toy. These products are designed to encourage imagination, creativity, problem-solving and learning through play.
Funskool India Limited is a toy manufacturer promoted by the MRF Group. The company began commercial operations in 1987 and has manufacturing facilities in Goa and Ranipet. It focuses on producing toys that meet quality and safety standards while supporting children’s development through play. Through continued investment in manufacturing, product innovation and international partnerships, Funskool aims to strengthen its position in the Indian toy market and expand the reach of Indian-designed and manufactured products in global markets.
