MapmyIndia Mappls and ClarityX have launched Geo-FI, a geo-intelligence platform designed to bring location-based insights into lending decisions across the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sector. The platform combines digital maps, spatial data, contextual information, analytics and artificial intelligence to help lenders strengthen market expansion, underwriting and collections.
Geo-FI is designed to work alongside existing lending technology rather than replace it. The platform can connect with loan origination systems, loan management systems, customer relationship management platforms and collections systems through APIs, software development kits and spatial visualisation tools. Institutions can deploy the solution through on-premises, hybrid or cloud environments based on their security, compliance and operational requirements.
The platform covers three key areas of the lending lifecycle. Geo-Analyse helps lenders identify high-potential and underserved markets by combining lender data with geocoding, address intelligence, points of interest, demographics, affluence indicators and micro-geographic information. This enables institutions to identify locations with growth potential while improving the quality and precision of customer acquisition.
Geo-Check focuses on underwriting and customer verification. It converts incomplete or unstructured addresses into precise geographic coordinates and validates address information. By combining GPS-based information with address matching, the system provides lenders with additional location context for customer profile verification and risk assessment. The approach can help institutions evaluate risk at street and locality levels rather than automatically excluding entire postal-code areas.
The third component, Geo-Collect, is designed to support collections teams. It captures geo-tagged field visits and on-ground feedback while providing delinquency heatmaps, spatial analytics and AI-assisted insights. Lenders can use these capabilities to understand repayment patterns by location, prioritise cases and improve field-force deployment and collection routes.
Geo-FI also incorporates a continuous intelligence loop. Information generated through customer interactions, field visits, verification outcomes and other on-ground activities can feed back into the platform, enabling location intelligence to evolve as new data becomes available.
“Geo-FI represents the convergence of spatial intelligence and lending technology stacks,” said Rakhi Prasad, Co-Founder, ClarityX. “By transforming spatial context into actionable insights, Geo-FI will enable smarter growth, risk and collections decisions across the lending lifecycle.”
Rohan Verma, Joint Managing Director, MapmyIndia Mappls, said the platform addresses a longstanding gap in lending by bringing location context into decision-making. The companies believe that understanding a borrower’s geographic environment can complement conventional customer and financial information and support more informed lending decisions.
The Geo-FI platform will be showcased at the Mappls Pavilion at Global Fintech Fest 2026, scheduled for September 9-11 at the Jio Convention Centre in Mumbai.
