RAINBOWCO (SZ: 002483), a global manufacturer of high-end equipment, has reported significant business growth for its GENMA brand following the strategic brand upgrade introduced in September 2025. Within less than a year of the repositioning, the brand has secured several large international contracts, expanded its presence across key global markets and strengthened industry recognition for its GENSMART automation platform.
The momentum reflects increasing demand for GENMA’s port equipment and intelligent automation solutions, with the company recording major contract wins across Africa, Europe and South Asia. Among the notable achievements is an order for 50 rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes from a port in Morocco, representing the largest single RTG order secured by GENMA in the African market. The company has also received orders for ship-to-shore (STS) cranes and rail-mounted gantry (RMG) cranes from customers in the Netherlands, while additional contracts for STS and RTG cranes in India have further expanded its presence in the South Asian market.
The latest orders highlight the growing acceptance of GENMA’s lifting and handling solutions across both mature and emerging markets. The company has also secured an order for what it describes as the world’s largest automated rubber-tyred gantry crane configuration—1-over-7, 10+1 automated RTGs—demonstrating customer confidence in its engineering capabilities and intelligent port automation technologies.
A key contributor to the brand’s recent growth has been the GENSMART automation platform, which integrates automation technologies across container terminal operations. The platform includes AutoRTG, AutoRMG and AutoSTS systems, supported by advanced equipment control software. The solution combines multi-modal sensor data integration, cross-platform data connectivity, artificial intelligence-based dispatch systems and digital twin technology to improve operational efficiency and equipment performance. Its fully automated external truck handling capability is designed to enhance productivity while reducing manual intervention in container terminal operations.
According to the company, cumulative deliveries and confirmed orders for automated cranes and automation retrofit projects have now exceeded 100 units. These systems are currently deployed or scheduled for deployment at container terminals in multiple international markets, reflecting the increasing adoption of automated cargo handling solutions by port operators.
Commenting on the company’s progress, Martin Wu, Chief Executive Officer of RAINBOWCO, said, “The strong response from customers across multiple international markets reflects the competitiveness of our products and the value of our automation technologies. We remain focused on expanding our global manufacturing capabilities and service network while delivering intelligent, efficient and reliable solutions that support the evolving needs of the port and logistics industry.”
