INERA Crop Science, an ag-tech company focused on science-led biological agricultural solutions, and CropNXT Solutions, an agriculture-driven value chain services company, have announced a multi-year strategic partnership to accelerate the adoption of biological agri-inputs among farmers across Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Odisha.
The partnership aims to reach more than 65 lakh farmers through a network of over 5,000 channel partners and retail outlets, while enabling the adoption of biological solutions across approximately 20 lakh acres of cultivated land. The collaboration is expected to unlock a business opportunity of around ₹500 crore, reflecting the growing demand for sustainable and science-backed solutions in Indian agriculture.
The partnership combines INERA’s portfolio of biological agri-input technologies with CropNXT’s extensive distribution capabilities, farmer relationships and agricultural market connectivity across key regions of East India. Together, the companies aim to make advanced agricultural solutions more accessible, practical and impactful for smallholder farmers.
Indian agriculture is undergoing significant transformation as farmers face challenges including rising input costs, unpredictable weather patterns, declining soil health, water stress and increasing crop vulnerability. Climate-related pressures such as heat stress, irregular rainfall, pest outbreaks and yield fluctuations are increasingly affecting farm productivity and income stability.
The next phase of agricultural growth will require solutions that enhance productivity while improving resilience and resource efficiency. Science-led biological products, developed through an understanding of soil microbiology, plant biology and natural nutrient cycles, can support healthier soils, stronger crops, improved input efficiency and more sustainable farming practices.
Through this partnership, INERA and CropNXT will work to bridge the gap between innovation and adoption by combining scientific expertise with strong last-mile execution. INERA will provide solutions designed to improve soil vitality, crop performance and farming resilience, while CropNXT will leverage its regional distribution network, retailer ecosystem and farmer engagement capabilities to ensure wider availability and adoption.
The initial focus markets — Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Odisha — represent some of India’s most important agricultural regions, with extensive cultivation of crops such as paddy, maize and vegetables. These states also present significant opportunities for resource-efficient farming practices that can improve productivity while supporting long-term soil and environmental health.
Commenting on the partnership, Agam Khare, Founder, INERA Crop Science, said, “Climate change is already visible in the fields of Indian smallholder farmers through heat stress, pest pressure and rising input costs. At INERA, we believe science-led biological solutions can help make farming more profitable, resilient and regenerative. This partnership with CropNXT will help bring these solutions to farmers at scale and accelerate the transition towards a more sustainable agricultural future.”
Ajeet Singh Chahal, Founder, CropNXT Solutions Pvt. Ltd., said, “CropNXT has built a strong agricultural value-chain ecosystem across East India. This partnership enables us to introduce a differentiated portfolio of science-led biological solutions to our farmer and channel network, supporting sustainable farming practices that address today’s challenges and future agricultural needs.” The collaboration represents a long-term commitment to building a resilient agricultural ecosystem where farmer profitability, crop performance and soil health progress together, contributing to India’s broader movement towards regenerative agriculture.
