Oswal Pumps Limited has strengthened its position in India’s renewable energy sector through the acquisition of a majority stake in Walso Solar Solution Private Limited, further expanding its capabilities across the solar pumping value chain. Following the completion of a rights issue transaction, Oswal Pumps has increased its ownership in Walso Solar to 51 percent, resulting in the company becoming a subsidiary. The investment involved the allotment of additional equity shares valued at approximately ₹3.66 crore.

The transaction represents an important step in Oswal Pumps’ strategy to build a comprehensive and vertically integrated renewable energy platform. By bringing Walso Solar under its operational framework, the company aims to enhance its ability to deliver complete solar pumping solutions while improving manufacturing efficiencies and supply chain integration.

Walso Solar has established expertise in the design and supply of mounting structures, Balance of System (BOS) components, and turnkey solar pumping installations. The company reported revenue of approximately ₹170 crore during the financial year 2025-26, reflecting strong demand for solar-powered irrigation and renewable energy infrastructure solutions.

Oswal Pumps has steadily expanded its presence across the solar energy segment by integrating multiple stages of production, including pump manufacturing, component production, and solar module fabrication. The addition of Walso Solar’s engineering and project execution capabilities strengthens the company’s ability to offer end-to-end solutions for agricultural, commercial, and institutional customers.

India’s growing focus on renewable energy deployment and sustainable irrigation infrastructure continues to create significant opportunities for companies operating in the solar ecosystem. Government initiatives supporting solar-powered agriculture and water management have accelerated adoption across multiple states, driving demand for integrated technology providers capable of delivering complete solutions.

The acquisition is expected to generate operational synergies through greater control over key components, improved procurement efficiencies, and enhanced project execution capabilities. It also supports Oswal Pumps’ objective of expanding its participation across multiple segments of the solar infrastructure value chain.

Industry observers view vertical integration as an increasingly important competitive advantage as renewable energy adoption accelerates. Companies with strong manufacturing ecosystems and end-to-end capabilities are expected to benefit from greater operational flexibility and improved customer service. With this transaction, Oswal Pumps reinforces its commitment to supporting India’s clean energy transition while strengthening its position as a leading provider of solar pumping solutions and renewable energy technologies.
