Zen Technologies has unveiled India’s first Integrated Smart Border Suite (ISBS), a next-generation border security ecosystem designed to strengthen surveillance, threat detection, and response capabilities across the country’s sensitive border regions. The launch comes amid India’s broader push toward technology-driven national security and follows recent government plans to establish an “Impenetrable Smart Border” using advanced surveillance and autonomous systems.

The Integrated Smart Border Suite has been developed to address emerging security challenges including illegal infiltration, cross-border smuggling, drone intrusions, narco-terrorism, and hybrid warfare threats increasingly observed along India’s western and eastern borders. The system combines multiple AI-enabled technologies into a unified operational platform designed to improve situational awareness, surveillance efficiency, and rapid threat response.

Zen Technologies stated that the suite integrates advanced anti-drone systems, autonomous surveillance platforms, unmanned vehicles, precision engagement systems, and thermal monitoring technologies to provide comprehensive protection across difficult and high-risk terrains. A key component of the system is the AI-powered anti-drone platform, available in fixed, vehicle-mounted, and portable configurations.

The system supports both soft-kill and hard-kill capabilities for detecting and neutralizing hostile drones before they can threaten protected areas or strategic assets. The suite also includes AI-enabled loitering munitions capable of surveillance, target acquisition, and precision strike operations in contested environments. Interceptor drones form another major component, designed to identify, pursue, and disable unauthorized aerial platforms in real time.

To strengthen ground-level operations, Zen Technologies has integrated unmanned ground vehicles capable of carrying out reconnaissance, surveillance, logistics support, and tactical missions in hazardous locations. The company has also incorporated Remote Controlled Weapon Stations equipped with electro-optical sensors, thermal imaging systems, and advanced fire-control technologies to enable accurate target engagement from secure positions.

The Integrated Smart Border Suite further features long-range electro-optical and thermal surveillance systems designed for continuous all-weather monitoring. The systems provide intelligent tracking and thermal sensing capabilities for 24-hour surveillance across rugged terrain and remote border zones.

Commenting on the development, Chairman and Managing Director Ashok Atluri said India’s border security infrastructure is undergoing a major transformation from conventional manpower-intensive deployments to intelligent, autonomous, and technology-led systems capable of responding to evolving asymmetric threats in real time. He added that the indigenous AI-driven ecosystem has been designed to support India’s modernization objectives while strengthening operational readiness and strategic self-reliance through domestically developed defence technologies.

Zen Technologies has a long-standing presence in defence training and anti-drone solutions, supported by in-house research and manufacturing capabilities in Hyderabad. With a portfolio that includes numerous patents and thousands of systems delivered globally, the company continues to expand its offerings to address emerging security challenges.
