Axion Semiconductor today announced the acquisition of Moov Technologies, an Austin-based semiconductor equipment marketplace and asset management platform serving customers in more than 55 countries. The transaction strengthens Axion Semiconductor’s position across the semiconductor manufacturing supply chain while expanding its technology, operational and marketplace capabilities. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Moov Technologies has built a strong reputation within the semiconductor industry through its interactive marketplace and asset management platform designed specifically for semiconductor manufacturing equipment and parts. The platform enables semiconductor manufacturers, equipment owners and service providers to manage assets, facilitate transactions and improve visibility across equipment lifecycles. Many leading semiconductor companies rely on Moov’s digital infrastructure to streamline sourcing, sales and operational management of critical manufacturing equipment.

The platform supports a broad range of semiconductor fabrication, packaging, testing, EMS and SMT equipment transactions, including surplus, idle and scrap tools. In addition to marketplace operations, Moov provides a suite of value-added services such as logistics coordination, de-installation, rigging, refurbishment, installation, crating and live shipment tracking for customers operating across multiple regions. The combination of digital tools and operational services enables customers to manage complex equipment transactions efficiently from listing through deployment.

Axion Semiconductor, headquartered in Colorado, focuses on acquiring and integrating semiconductor supply chain businesses into a unified operating platform designed to support the evolving infrastructure needs of the global semiconductor sector. Founded by semiconductor industry veterans Austin Gill, John Getchell and Jeffrey Robbins, the company’s leadership team brings more than six decades of combined experience in semiconductor equipment operations, services and global asset management.

Austin Gill, Chief Executive Officer of Axion Semiconductor, said the acquisition represents an important step in the company’s long-term growth strategy. He noted that Moov Technologies has established a trusted reputation across the industry through its technology platform, operational capabilities and strong customer relationships, making it a valuable addition to Axion’s expanding semiconductor ecosystem.

Jeff Robbins, Chief Operating Officer of Axion Semiconductor, added that the semiconductor industry continues to face growing complexity related to equipment sourcing, asset utilization and lifecycle management. By integrating Moov’s technology platform with Axion’s operational infrastructure, the combined organization will be better positioned to support customers across the global supply chain.

Following the acquisition, Jim O’Reilly will serve as Chief Executive Officer of Moov Technologies, while Jeff Kielty will continue as Managing Director. Moov will maintain operations from Austin, Texas and New York, while also supporting activities in Tempe, Arizona and Taipei, Taiwan as part of Axion Semiconductor’s broader platform. The acquisition is expected to accelerate Moov’s global expansion while strengthening support for semiconductor manufacturers and equipment suppliers worldwide.
