Solidus Techno Power Private Limited has announced the commissioning of Punjab’s largest captive open access solar power project, marking a significant milestone in the state’s clean energy transition. The project, with a capacity of 40 MW / 60 MWp, has been developed for Aarti International Ltd and Aarti Steel International Limited.

Located in Fazilka, the solar installation is expected to generate approximately 85 million units of renewable energy annually, while reducing over 80,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions each year. The project represents a major step toward enabling industries to transition to sustainable and cost-efficient power solutions, supporting broader environmental goals and energy security.

The commissioning of this project takes Solidus Techno Power’s total installed solar capacity to 200 MW across North India, reinforcing its growing presence in the renewable energy sector. The company continues to focus on delivering scalable solar solutions that help industries reduce their carbon footprint and improve operational efficiency.

Commenting on the development, Harvinder Singh, Managing Director of Solidus Techno Power, stated that the successful execution of the project reflects the company’s commitment to accelerating the adoption of clean energy in India. He noted that delivering Punjab’s largest captive open access solar plant is a meaningful achievement that supports industries in integrating sustainable energy into their operations at scale.

Jaspal Singh, Chief Executive Officer, highlighted the strategic importance of the project, stating that it represents a forward-looking approach to energy management. He emphasized that the shift to solar power is not only about reducing emissions but also about building long-term resilience and ensuring stable, future-ready operations for industrial consumers.

The project has been developed under the captive open access model, which allows industrial users to directly procure renewable energy, offering both cost advantages and sustainability benefits. This approach is gaining traction across India as companies seek to balance economic growth with environmental responsibility.

Solidus Techno Power continues to play an active role in advancing India’s renewable energy landscape, with a strong focus on solar and battery energy storage solutions. Its projects are designed to deliver long-term environmental impact while supporting industries in meeting their sustainability targets. With this latest milestone, the company reinforces its position as a key contributor to India’s clean energy transition, driving industrial decarbonisation and supporting the shift toward a low-carbon economy.
