Transrail Lighting Limited has announced a significant expansion of its tower manufacturing capacity, driven by a combination of greenfield and brownfield developments across its production network. The company’s total installed capacity has increased from 84,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) to 1,72,400 MTPA, marking a major milestone in its growth trajectory.

The expansion includes the successful commissioning of a greenfield facility at Butibori, where commercial production has already commenced. This new plant is expected to play a central role in strengthening the company’s ability to meet rising demand from infrastructure and power transmission sectors.

The Butibori facility represents a key component of Transrail Lighting’s long-term strategy to scale operations and enhance manufacturing efficiency. By establishing new production capabilities at this location, the company aims to improve turnaround times and ensure consistent supply to its customers.

In parallel, Transrail Lighting has made considerable progress in its brownfield expansion initiatives at existing plants in Deoli, Baroda, and Silvassa. These upgrades are being implemented in phases and have already contributed to a notable increase in output capacity. Once fully completed, these expansions are expected to further optimize production processes and improve operational flexibility.

The combined impact of these investments has resulted in a substantial enhancement of the company’s manufacturing footprint. By more than doubling its capacity, Transrail Lighting is positioning itself to address growing requirements across domestic and international markets, particularly in the transmission and distribution segment.

The expansion also reflects the company’s focus on strengthening its execution capabilities and supporting large-scale infrastructure projects. With increased capacity, Transrail Lighting is better equipped to handle higher order volumes while maintaining quality and delivery standards.

Industry demand for transmission infrastructure continues to grow, driven by rapid urbanization, renewable energy integration, and grid modernization efforts. Transrail Lighting’s expanded capacity is expected to enable the company to capitalize on these opportunities and reinforce its presence in the sector.

This development underscores Transrail Lighting’s commitment to sustained growth through strategic investments in manufacturing infrastructure. By enhancing production capabilities across multiple locations, the company is building a strong foundation for future expansion while aligning with evolving market needs.
