Rotary District 3131 has announced the3rd edition of its flagship sustainability event, Rotary Green Expo 2026, scheduled to be held on 28th February and 1st March 2026 in Pune. Building on the strong success of the previous two editions, the Expo aims to further deepen environmental awareness and promote sustainable living among citizens of Pune and the PCMC region.
Speaking on the occasion, Rtn Santosh Marathe, District Governor, Rotary District 3131, stated that Environment is the district’s key focus area this year. Since July 2025, Rotary District 3131 has been actively implementing several impactful environmental initiatives across the district, with Rotary Green Expo emerging as a flagship platform that brings together citizens, businesses, institutions, and solution providers committed to sustainability.
“Rotary Green Expo is a unique platform that brings everything related to sustainability under one roof,” said Rtn. Santosh Marathe. “It empowers citizens to understand, adopt, and implement eco-friendly solutions in their homes, workplaces, and communities—helping us collectively build a greener, cleaner, and more livable city.”
Rotary Green Expo 2026 will feature over 75 exhibitor booths, showcasing a diverse range of sustainable products and solutions. Key focus areas include solar energy systems, rainwater harvesting solutions, waste and water management technologies, composting solutions, recycled and upcycled products, organic foods, green cleaning solutions, plants, and eco-friendly lifestyle offerings. Designed as a one-stop sustainability marketplace, the Expo enables visitors to explore practical, affordable, and scalable green solutions for everyday life.
In addition to the exhibition, the two-day event will host a comprehensive programme of expert panel discussions, keynote sessions, hands-on workshops, and live demonstrations led by sustainability professionals, industry experts, and practitioners. These sessions are aimed at delivering actionable insights, encouraging behavioral change, and inspiring innovation in environmental conservation and responsible living.
The Expo is being spearheaded by Rtn Keshav Tamhankar, Director – Rotary Green Society, who brings strong leadership and deep commitment to sustainability-driven initiatives. Under his direction, the Expo is being curated as a comprehensive and impactful platform that effectively connects solution providers, experts, institutions, start-ups, and citizens working towards environmental responsibility. Rtn. Tamhankar has played a pivotal role in shaping the exhibitor mix, structuring knowledge sessions, and strengthening stakeholder engagement, ensuring that Rotary Green Expo 2026 delivers meaningful learning, practical solutions, and long-term impact for the Pune and PCMC communities.
A major highlight of this year’s edition will be the Green Awards, which will recognize individuals, organizations, and initiatives that have made outstanding contributions towards environmental protection and sustainability. The Expo will also place strong emphasis on youth and school engagement, encouraging young minds to become active champions of sustainability. Additionally, a special showcase will be dedicated toinnovative green start-ups, offering them visibility and an opportunity to present their solutions to a wider audience.
