The Italian Technology Center (ITC) is set to host its 10th Annual Conference on November 22, 2024, at the Taj Skyline in Ahmedabad, marking a decade of fostering collaboration between Italian and Indian manufacturing industries. Established in 2013, the Italian Technology Center has played a pivotal role in providing technical support, market insights, and business opportunities, building a solid bridge between the two nations.

The Italian Technology Center (ITC) is a collaborative network that comprises six Italian capital goods manufacturing companies. This consortium was established to strengthen the presence of Italian manufacturing technologies in India. The initiative is supported by significant Italian associations like UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, which represents manufacturers of machine tools, robots, and automation systems; AMAPLAST, focusing on plastics and rubber machinery; and ACIMGA, which covers machinery for the graphic, converting, and paper industry.

Founded in 2013 and located in Pune, Maharashtra, the Italian Technology Center aims to promote Italian technological excellence in India. It supports the internationalization of Italian firms by providing visibility and facilitating connections with local markets. This centre serves as a hub for various strategic activities, including seminars, workshops, and business-to-business meetings, enhancing the visibility of Italian technology in the region.

As the Italian Technology Center gears up for its 10th Annual Conference, Machine Maker spoke with Ashish Kamat, the Italian Technology Center General Manager leading the organization’s efforts in India. With a deep understanding of the manufacturing ecosystem, Ashish Kamat and his team have played an essential role in ITC’s growth and impact in the Indian market. In our discussion, Ashish highlighted the Italian Technology Center’s commitment to bridging the technological gap between Italy and India.
