Zydus Lifesciences Limited has launched the world’s first biosimilar of Nivolumab in India under the brand name Tishtha™, marking a significant step in improving access to advanced immunotherapy for the treatment of multiple cancers. The launch strengthens Zydus’ growing capabilities in biologics and immuno-oncology while addressing affordability and availability challenges faced by patients.

Tishtha™ is available in two strengths—100 mg and 40 mg—priced at ₹28,950 and ₹13,950 respectively. The pricing is approximately one-fourth of the reference product, helping reduce the overall financial burden associated with long-term cancer treatment. The two-dose format allows clinicians to optimise dosing while minimising wastage, an important factor in managing treatment costs in immunotherapy.

Commenting on the launch, Dr Sharvil P Patel, Managing Director of Zydus Lifesciences, said the company’s focus remains on ensuring timely and affordable access to advanced cancer therapies. He added that the introduction of Tishtha™ reflects Zydus’ commitment to patient-centric care and its continued investment in high-quality biosimilar immunotherapies.

Access to modern cancer treatment depends on three key factors: consistency, affordability, and reach. For patients receiving checkpoint inhibitor therapy, uninterrupted treatment across multiple cycles is critical, as gaps can increase both clinical risk and financial stress. Developed and manufactured in India, Tishtha™ is designed to ensure dependable long-term availability, supporting patients throughout their treatment journey.

With the introduction of Tishtha™, Zydus expands access to immuno-oncology therapies within India, supporting oncologists and healthcare systems in delivering sustained and predictable care. The launch underscores the company’s broader mission to improve patient outcomes through innovation, quality manufacturing, and equitable access to advanced treatments.
