Waaree Transpower has secured inverter duty transformer (IDT) orders totaling 1,275 MVA (1.27 GW) within just one month of introducing the product line, marking a significant early achievement for the company. The contracts, valued at more than ₹100 crore, were awarded by a leading solar engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm for use in large-scale solar projects across India.
The milestone comes amid rapid growth in India’s renewable energy sector. The country added more than 10 GW of solar capacity in FY25 and is targeting annual renewable additions of 50 GW to reach its goal of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030. This accelerated expansion has increased demand for efficient, grid-compliant electrical infrastructure, positioning Waaree Transpower as a key contributor to national capacity development.
Waaree Transpower’s inverter duty transformers are designed to operate reliably under high-frequency switching, harmonic-heavy conditions, and fluctuating solar generation. These capabilities have made the products attractive to developers focused on long-term performance, stable grid integration, and dependable power evacuation.
