Waaree Clean Energy Solutions Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Waaree Energies Ltd, has secured a major order to develop a multi-technology green hydrogen project for TMEIC Industrial Systems India Private Limited at its facility in Tumkur, Karnataka. The project represents an important step in India’s growing green hydrogen ecosystem and reflects increasing industry investments in clean energy infrastructure.

The upcoming project will establish an integrated green hydrogen ecosystem encompassing hydrogen production, storage, compression, and utilisation within a single industrial site. According to the company, the project will deploy a hybrid technology approach using both Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolysers and alkaline electrolysers, enabling flexible operations, improved energy efficiency, and centralised automation.

The project has been designed to demonstrate the integration of multiple clean energy technologies within a single operational platform. In addition to hydrogen production infrastructure, the project scope includes hydrogen compression systems, hydrogen storage facilities, and a high-pressure hydrogen refuelling station. An electric vehicle charging unit powered by hydrogen fuel cells will also be installed, showcasing the convergence of hydrogen mobility and electric mobility technologies.

Waaree Clean Energy Solutions Private Limited will undertake complete execution of the project, including engineering, procurement, commissioning, and long-term operational support. The company will also provide operations and maintenance services for a period of five years after project commissioning.

The integrated green hydrogen facility is expected to support industrial decarbonisation efforts while serving as a demonstration model for future clean energy deployments across India. By integrating production, storage, mobility, and utilisation applications within one ecosystem, the project is intended to showcase scalable and commercially viable green hydrogen solutions for industrial and transportation sectors.

Commenting on the development, Anuj Sharma, Chief Executive Officer of Waaree Clean Energy Solutions Private Limited, stated that the project reflects the company’s commitment toward building scalable and future-ready green hydrogen solutions that can contribute to India’s clean energy transition goals.

The project also aligns with the Government of India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission, which seeks to position India as a global hub for green hydrogen production, exports, and technology development. Industry experts believe such integrated pilot and commercial projects will play a critical role in accelerating the adoption of hydrogen technologies across manufacturing, mobility, and energy sectors.

Green hydrogen, produced using renewable energy-powered electrolysis, is increasingly being viewed as a key solution for reducing carbon emissions in hard-to-abate industries such as steel, chemicals, refining, heavy transport, and industrial manufacturing. The use of both PEM and alkaline electrolyser technologies in the project is expected to provide operational flexibility while enabling the evaluation of different production efficiencies and deployment strategies.

Waaree Clean Energy Solutions Private Limited focuses on integrated clean energy solutions spanning solar power, green hydrogen, energy storage systems, and emerging sustainable energy technologies. Backed by the manufacturing and engineering experience of Waaree Energies Ltd, the company is actively expanding its presence in advanced renewable energy and industrial decarbonisation segments.
