Vipul Organics Limited (BSE: VIPULORG / 530627), a leading specialty chemicals company in pigments and dyes, has announced the commencement of commercial sales from its membrane division, AdiMem Technologies. This development marks a significant step forward for the company, coming shortly after its membrane solutions were presented at IFAT India 2025.

The company is transitioning from pilot operations to full-scale manufacturing of Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Ultrafiltration (UF) membranes at its Sayakha facility in Gujarat. The unit uses proprietary Reverse Phase Transition technology to manufacture high-performance membranes locally, positioning AdiMem Technologies as a fully indigenous membrane manufacturer in India.

AdiMem Technologies offers a comprehensive range of solutions, including membranes and complete systems such as Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), and pre-treatment solutions. These offerings cater to industries such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and other process sectors. The Sayakha facility integrates production, rolling, quality testing, and performance validation, ensuring consistent output and scalability.

According to industry estimates, India’s membrane separation technology market is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 11.52%, expanding from USD 1.34 billion in 2026 to USD 2.7 billion by 2033. This growth is supported by stricter environmental regulations, including Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) requirements, government initiatives such as the Namami Gange programme, and increasing demand for industrial water recycling. Demand for RO membranes is expected to rise steadily, while UF and nanofiltration technologies are gaining wider adoption, particularly in pharmaceutical wastewater treatment.

Vipul Organics expects membrane solutions to contribute 25% of its overall revenue within the next three years. The company is also targeting a meaningful share of India’s filtration market, which is projected to reach USD 6.33 billion by 2033. The membrane segment is anticipated to enhance both revenue growth and operating margins.

AdiMem’s product portfolio includes microfiltration (MF), ultrafiltration (UF), nanofiltration (NF), and reverse osmosis (RO) membranes, along with tubular and hollow fibre configurations and membrane bioreactor (MBR) systems. These solutions are designed to deliver efficient filtration, durability, and sustainability across applications.

Vipul Organics continues to strengthen its sustainability focus, with 98% effluent recycling, ZDHC Level 3 certification, and ISO 14001 compliance. The newly launched membranes are capable of enabling up to 90% water recovery across industrial use cases.

Commenting on the development, Vipul P Shah, Managing Director, stated that the launch of commercial membrane sales and the expansion at Sayakha will strengthen the company’s position in sustainable solutions while reducing dependence on imports and tapping into global opportunities. Supported by a recent rights issue, the company is scaling up operations and expects strong growth momentum from FY2027, driven by increasing demand for advanced filtration technologies.

Vipul Organics Limited is a BSE-listed specialty chemicals company engaged in the manufacturing of pigments, dyestuffs, lake colours, and pigment intermediaries. The company operates three manufacturing facilities in Maharashtra and exports to over 50 countries. It reported revenues of ₹163 crore for the financial year 2024–25.
