VinFast Auto India has announced the launch of the all-new VF MPV 7, a premium electric seven-seater designed specifically for Indian customers. The introduction marks the company’s third product launch in India within a year, reinforcing its commitment to expanding its footprint in the country’s rapidly evolving electric vehicle market.
The VF MPV 7 has been engineered with a focus on space, versatility, and comfort, addressing the needs of multi-generational Indian families. Featuring a theatre-style seating layout and a spacious third row, the vehicle comfortably accommodates seven occupants. With a wheelbase of 2,840 mm and storage capacity of up to 1,240 litres, the MPV is designed to support both everyday commuting and long-distance travel.
The vehicle is powered by a 60.13 kWh lithium-ion battery, delivering a certified range of 517 kilometres on a single charge. Fast-charging capability enables the battery to be charged from 10% to 70% in approximately 30 minutes. The front-wheel-drive system produces 150 kW of power and 280 Nm of torque, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in under 10 seconds.
The VF MPV 7 features a bold exterior design with signature V-shaped LED lighting, 19-inch alloy wheels, and a modern MPV silhouette. Inside, the cabin adopts a minimalist yet premium approach, offering leatherette upholstery, a multifunction steering wheel, configurable seating layouts, and a 10.1-inch infotainment system with smartphone connectivity and connected car features.
The vehicle also includes a comprehensive ownership package comprising three years of free maintenance, a 10-year battery warranty, seven-year vehicle and roadside assistance coverage, along with extended warranties on suspension and paint, offering strong value assurance for customers.
Commenting on the launch, Tapan Ghosh, CEO of VinFast India, stated that the VF MPV 7 is designed to meet the needs of large families by combining space, comfort, and intelligent features. He added that the launch represents the company’s entry into a new segment while strengthening its long-term commitment to the Indian market.
The VF MPV 7 will be locally assembled at the company’s facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. Alongside product expansion, VinFast is scaling its retail and service network, targeting 75 showrooms and over 230 service workshops across India by the end of 2026.
The company is also rolling out customer-centric initiatives, including an extended EV charging program, attractive financing options under its “Trade Gas For Electric” initiative, and a value-assured buyback scheme to support wider EV adoption.
