VinFast India, the Indian subsidiary of global electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Federal Bank to provide tailored inventory financing solutions to VinFast’s authorised dealer network across India. The partnership is aimed at strengthening the financial foundation of VinFast’s expanding retail network by enabling dealers to manage working capital more effectively, maintain optimal vehicle inventories and respond efficiently to increasing customer demand. The collaboration forms part of VinFast’s broader strategy to establish a comprehensive electric mobility ecosystem in India.

Under the agreement, Federal Bank will offer customised inventory financing solutions designed specifically to support VinFast dealers. The financing arrangement is expected to improve operational flexibility and enable dealers to manage inventory more efficiently as VinFast continues to expand its distribution footprint across the country. The MoU was signed by Tapan Ghosh, CEO of VinFast Asia, and Kumkum Jain, Additional SVP, Federal Bank Limited.

Commenting on the partnership, Tapan Ghosh said: “A strong dealer network is fundamental to delivering consistent and seamless customer experience. Our partnership with Federal Bank is an important step towards equipping our dealer partners with the financial flexibility needed to support business growth and operational efficiency. As we continue to expand our footprint across India, we remain focused on building a robust retail ecosystem that enables our partners to grow alongside us while delivering the highest standards of service to customers.” Kumkum Jain said the partnership combines VinFast’s focus on sustainable mobility with Federal Bank’s expertise in dealer financing and supports the continued development of India’s electric vehicle ecosystem.

The collaboration comes as VinFast expands its presence in the Indian market through investments in manufacturing, retail and customer support infrastructure. The company has recently opened its 60th 3S dealership in India and plans to reach 75 dealerships nationwide by the end of 2026.

The company is also developing its manufacturing presence through its plant in Tamil Nadu while expanding its nationwide dealership and after-sales service network. Strategic partnerships in areas such as financing, charging infrastructure and customer support are intended to make electric mobility more accessible to Indian consumers.
