Vikram Solar Limited, a prominent solar photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturer in India, is amplifying its role as KKR’s official Clean Energy Advocate by combining cutting-edge technology with a strong commitment to social responsibility. In a creative partnership that ties in with the excitement of the cricket season, for every six hit by KKR players this season, Vikram Solar will contribute directly to the solarization of homes across India. This initiative marks a bold step in the push for renewable energy and community empowerment. Participants are being selected through a contest on VikramSolar’s social media platforms.
The initiative reflects VikramSolar’s deep commitment to environmental sustainability and community well-being. The company’s green efforts extend beyond the cricket field, such as a recent tree-planting initiative at its Falta facility in West Bengal. In recognition of KKR players’ contributions, twenty-four children, known as the ‘Sunshine Ambassadors’ (aged 6 to 12), planted saplings in their honor. This green act symbolizes gratitude and a shared dedication to a sustainable future.
At a special event, these young ambassadors had the chance to meet the players and present them with a unique certificate. Each certificate contained a QR code that allows the Knight Riders to track the growth and impact of their tree, offering a modern and interactive way to connect with environmental sustainability.
