Volks Energie has secured a major milestone with its involvement in the JHBDPL (Jagdishpur–Haldia–Bokaro–Dhamra Pipeline Project) under the guidance of Gail India Ltd. This high-priority initiative will see the supply, installation, and commissioning of 15 KWP Solar Photovoltaic Power Plants paired with Ni-Cd batteries, a core competency of Volks, at nine strategic locations in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh.
Volks Energie has achieved another significant step in bolstering India’s renewable energy landscape through its participation in the JHBDPL project under Gail India Ltd. The project involves deploying 15 KWP Solar Photovoltaic Power Plants, powered by Ni-Cd batteries, across 9 key locations. These areas include Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh.
Volks Energie has continually advanced India’s transition to sustainable energy solutions, with a strong focus on solar technology and Ni-Cd batteries. These batteries, with a lifespan of up to 20 years, offer a more sustainable and dependable alternative. The JHBDPL project represents a key achievement in the deployment of off-grid energy solutions that are both resilient and sustainable, addressing the challenges posed by India’s diverse terrain and extreme weather conditions.
Piyush Goyal, Co-Founder & CEO of Volks Energie, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “We are excited and proud to be part of the JHBDPL project, where we are deploying our signature Solar + Ni-Cd solutions across critical locations in North and Eastern India. The durability of Ni-Cd batteries ensures continuous power supply, even under the harshest operational and climatic conditions. We are grateful to GAIL and JHBDPL for entrusting us with this important project, and we look forward to contributing to India’s ambitious goal of achieving 500 GW from renewable sources and reaching net-zero by 2070.”
As part of this collaboration, Volks Energie will oversee the design, installation, and supply of 15 KWP solar power plants across multiple zones. The deployment is expected to be completed by the end of the year, significantly enhancing India’s renewable energy capacity and improving the operational reliability of one of the country’s largest pipeline projects.
