Vibhor Steel Tubes Ltd (VSTL), a manufacturer of steel tubes and pipes, has received a ‘BBB+/Stable’ long-term rating and ‘A2’ short-term rating from CRISIL Ratings for its bank facilities aggregating to Rs 100 crore. The rating reflects the company’s steady operational performance, established presence in the steel tubes segment, and prudent financial management.

The ‘Stable’ outlook indicates expectations of continued demand from infrastructure, construction, and industrial sectors, which are key drivers for the company’s product portfolio. The rating is expected to enhance VSTL’s credibility among lenders and stakeholders while improving access to capital for expansion and working capital needs.

The company benefits from strong industry experience among its promoters, who bring over two decades of expertise in the electric resistance welded (ERW) and galvanized pipes segment. Long-standing relationships with suppliers and customers have supported consistent business growth and operational stability.

A key strength for the company is its assured offtake arrangement with Jindal Pipes Limited, under which a minimum annual volume of 100,000 tonnes is supplied. This agreement provides revenue visibility and contributes significantly to the company’s financial stability.

VSTL recently expanded its manufacturing footprint with the commissioning of a greenfield facility in Sundargarh, Odisha. The plant, with a capacity of 156,000 metric tonnes per annum, began commercial production in July 2025. In addition to ERW and galvanized pipes, the facility produces value-added products such as crash barriers, transmission towers, and lighting poles, supporting diversified revenue streams.

The company operates additional manufacturing units in Maharashtra and Telangana, with a combined installed capacity of over 221,000 MTPA. Its products cater to multiple sectors including infrastructure, agriculture, oil and gas, and construction, with a strong presence across western and southern India.

Following its successful stock market debut in February 2024, where it raised over Rs 72 crore, VSTL continues to focus on capacity expansion and product diversification. The CRISIL rating further strengthens its financial positioning and supports its long-term growth strategy in a competitive steel market.
