Valiant Communications Limited has received purchase orders worth ₹10.71 crore from system integrators for the supply of data storage servers and time synchronisation equipment. The end user for the project is Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, a Maharatna public sector enterprise under the Government of India.
The order marks an important entry for Valiant Communications into the data centre segment, which is seeing increased investment due to the growing demand for cloud computing, artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure. Under the order, Valiant will supply data storage servers along with time synchronisation systems. The company said the project strengthens its position in India’s domestic data infrastructure market and creates an opportunity to expand its presence in data centre applications.
Inder Mohan Sood, CEO, Valiant Communications, said the order is significant for the company as it provides an entry into the rapidly expanding data centre business. He added that Valiant has already commissioned key data centre equipment at THDC India Limited, a Mini Ratna government enterprise and subsidiary of NTPC Limited.
Valiant said its data storage equipment supplied for the project has successfully completed the required technical evaluation and meets Category-1 criteria as an indigenous Class 1 manufacturer. The company will also provide time synchronisation equipment based on GPS and NavIC satellite systems. NavIC, the operational name of the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS), provides an additional domestic source for positioning and timing requirements.
Valiant said the use of NavIC-based technology can support greater reliance on indigenous satellite infrastructure for critical applications. The company sees increasing opportunities for its synchronisation products as India continues to strengthen domestic technology capabilities across strategic infrastructure.
The latest order builds on Valiant Communications’ experience in supplying communications, transmission, protection, synchronisation and data storage solutions to power sector customers. The company has supplied equipment to Power Grid Corporation of India and various state electricity boards.
Valiant has installations across more than 6,000 power substations worldwide, covering voltage levels ranging from 33 kV to 765 kV. Its product portfolio includes IT and operational technology communications equipment, transmission and protection systems, GPS and NavIC-based synchronisation solutions, NAS and SAN data storage systems and cybersecurity products. The company said its investments in product development, technology and manufacturing capabilities have helped expand its product portfolio for domestic and international markets.
The new order is expected to strengthen Valiant’s presence in data infrastructure while complementing its established business in power transmission and utility communications. The company will continue to focus on developing indigenous technology solutions for critical infrastructure and emerging digital applications.
