Paradeep Phosphates Limited (PPL) has launched JAI KISAAN NAVRATNA CROPFIT, a customized fertilizer developed specifically for sugarcane cultivation in Karnataka. The new product is designed to provide sugarcane crops with balanced major, secondary and micronutrients through a single basal application.
Sugarcane requires a sustained supply of nutrients throughout its growth cycle. PPL said imbalanced fertilizer use, including excessive nitrogen and inadequate application of secondary and micronutrients, can affect nutrient efficiency, crop growth and soil health. JAI KISAAN NAVRATNA CROPFIT contains NPK in a 14:14:13 ratio, along with 4% sulphur, 1% zinc, 0.1% boron and 1% iron. The precision-blended formulation is designed to support early crop establishment, uniform growth and efficient nutrient availability.
The company said field evaluations indicate that balanced crop nutrition can help improve crop vigour and nutrient use efficiency. Depending on agronomic conditions, the product can also support cane development, productivity and sugar recovery. The fertilizer is intended to help farmers improve nutrient use efficiency, address secondary and micronutrient deficiencies and optimize fertilizer application. Its uniform granule size is designed to support even distribution across fields.
The product has been developed for sugarcane-growing regions of Karnataka and its FCO-approved grade is recommended for districts including Bagalkot, Belagavi, Ballari, Bidar, Chamarajanagara, Gadag, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Mandya, Mysuru, Vijayapura, Yadgir and Vijayanagara.
Suresh Krishnan, Managing Director and CEO, Paradeep Phosphates Limited, said the company is moving from conventional fertilizer supply towards crop-specific nutrition solutions that address the requirements of Indian farmers. Rajeev Nambiar, Joint Managing Director and COO, PPL, said the 14:14:13 formulation combines primary nutrients with sulphur, zinc, boron and iron to provide a comprehensive package for the basal stage of sugarcane cultivation.
Harshdeep Singh, President and Chief Commercial Officer, PPL, said Karnataka offers significant scope for wider adoption of balanced plant nutrition. The company will support the launch through farmer engagement, demonstrations and agronomic guidance. The launch forms part of PPL’s wider strategy to promote balanced fertilizer use, improve nutrient efficiency and support soil health. Through its Jai Kisaan Navratna portfolio, the company aims to offer differentiated crop nutrition products focused on productivity and farm economics.
