Following the nationwide rollout of its X-47 Crossover, Ultraviolette unveiled its complete product lineup at EICMA 2025, the world’s leading motorcycle exhibition. During its global showcase, the company announced a strategic partnership with Cardo Systems, marking the first phase of its Connected Rider Ecosystem—a move aimed at integrating safety and connectivity through advanced riding technologies. As part of this initiative, Ultraviolette introduced the UV Crossfade, a next-generation carbon fibre smart helmet designed to seamlessly connect riders with their motorcycles.
The UV Crossfade represents a breakthrough in motorcycle integration, allowing real-time communication between the helmet and Ultraviolette vehicles. The innovation will first be available with the F77 MACH 2, F77 SuperStreet, and X-47 Crossover models, followed by a phased rollout across Ultraviolette’s entire lineup.
Leveraging Cardo’s mesh communication network and Ultraviolette’s intelligent vehicle systems, the helmet enables real-time rider-to-rider and rider-to-vehicle interaction. This integration creates a dynamic communication ecosystem built on Cardo’s proven connectivity foundation, enhanced with Ultraviolette’s advanced interface technology.
Equipped with Dynamic Alert Sequencing (DAS), the system intelligently reads and prioritizes alerts in real time, ensuring that critical notifications are delivered seamlessly during rides. Whether the rider is communicating via local mesh networks or phone connectivity, D.A.S. intelligently filters and routes important updates—such as vehicle alerts or radar warnings—to the connected Cardo unit.
Constructed with a carbon fibre outer shell and fibreglass-reinforced inner layers, the UV Crossfade weighs just 1,380 grams, meeting DoT, ISI, and ECE 22.06 global safety standards. Commenting on the launch, Narayan Subramaniam, Co-founder & CEO of Ultraviolette, said, “The UV Crossfade marks the beginning of a new era in intelligent mobility. It connects the rider and the machine through advanced communication and safety technology, enhancing both awareness and experience. Our partnership with Cardo Systems expands this vision—bringing global communication innovation to Ultraviolette’s connected ecosystem.”
Shachar Harari, VP of Business Development at Cardo Systems, added, “This collaboration with Ultraviolette opens a new frontier for connected riding. By enabling direct interaction between the motorcycle and Cardo units, we’re creating opportunities for advanced safety features like blind-spot detection, status alerts, and enhanced rider assistance systems.”
At EICMA 2025, Ultraviolette also showcased its expanding global portfolio—including the X-47, the world’s first production motorcycle with radar as standard, and upcoming innovations such as the Tesseract and Shockwave—further reinforcing its commitment to redefining the future of electric mobility through design, performance, and technology.
Founded in 2016 by Narayan Subramaniam and Niraj Rajmohan, Ultraviolette develops future-ready electric mobility solutions powered by aviation-grade engineering. The company is backed by global investors such as Lingotto (Exor N.V.), Qualcomm Ventures, Zoho Corporation, TVS Motors, TDK Ventures, and Speciale Invest, positioning it as a leader in India’s high-performance EV ecosystem.
