Ultraviolette Automotive has announced a proposed five-year investment plan to significantly expand its manufacturing capabilities in Karnataka. The phased initiative will include scaling up production capacity at its current facility and establishing a new manufacturing plant within the state.
The move reflects the company’s long-term commitment to Karnataka and aligns with its broader strategy to accelerate the growth of India’s electric mobility ecosystem. As demand for high-performance electric vehicles continues to rise, Ultraviolette aims to strengthen its production infrastructure to support both domestic and international markets.
To formalize its expansion plans, the company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Karnataka during the Invest Karnataka Conclave held in Bengaluru. The agreement was signed in the presence of MB Patil, Minister for Large and Medium Industries.
Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-founder of Ultraviolette Automotive, highlighted the importance of Karnataka in the company’s journey. He noted that the state has played a central role in enabling innovation, supported by strong infrastructure, progressive policies, and a skilled talent base. According to him, these factors provide a solid foundation for the company’s next phase of growth.
Niraj Rajmohan, CTO and Co-founder, emphasized Karnataka’s contribution to Ultraviolette’s research and development efforts. He stated that access to engineering talent, supplier networks, and proximity to industrial hubs has enabled the company to develop world-class products locally.
Headquartered in Bengaluru, Ultraviolette has built a strong reputation for its advanced battery technology and performance-focused electric motorcycles, including the F77 and X-47 models. The company currently operates over 40 experience centers across India and plans to expand its presence to 100 cities by the end of 2026.
Internationally, Ultraviolette is expanding its footprint across Europe and is present in 12 countries. It has also outlined plans to enter additional markets in Asia and Latin America, further strengthening its position as a global electric mobility brand.
