TVS Motor Company (TVSM), a global manufacturer in the two- and three-wheeler segments, has announced the PETRONAS TVS India One Make Championship (OMC) 2026 Training and Selection Program, continuing TVS Racing’s long-standing commitment to nurturing racing talent across India. The nationwide selection trials for the 2026 season will be held between January 17 and February 7, 2026, across Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi, and Kolkata, with the final round of selections scheduled at the Madras International Circuit (MIC) in Chennai.
The upcoming season holds special significance as the TVS Apache brand completes 20 years of racing-influenced performance development. Built on TVS Racing’s ‘Track to Road’ philosophy, insights gained from the racetrack have consistently shaped both motorcycle engineering and rider development programs. The championship continues to place strong emphasis on extensive track exposure, disciplined racecraft, and a safety-driven training environment.
Commenting on the announcement, Vimal Sumbly, Head Business – Premium, TVS Motor Company, said that the One Make Championship has always been focused on building racers rather than merely hosting races. He added that the platform has played a key role in providing structured training, professional race preparation, and instilling a strong safety culture among riders. As TVS Apache marks two decades of racing-led engineering, the 2026 edition of the PETRONAS TVS India One Make Championship reinforces the company’s intent to make circuit racing accessible while upholding high standards of discipline and safety, which remains central to strengthening India’s motorsports ecosystem.
The PETRONAS TVS India OMC follows a training-led and safety-first approach, with riders training and competing on race-prepared TVS Apache motorcycles developed using TVS Racing’s four decades of motorsport experience. Participants are equipped with professional-grade safety equipment, including Alpinestars airbag jackets, FIM-certified helmets, and FIM-spec racing suits.
Each motorcycle is individually tuned to suit rider requirements, ensuring consistent performance while maintaining a strong focus on safety. TVS Racing has been actively involved in developing racing talent for over 43 years. Since the launch of the TVS India One Make Championship in 1994, more than 3,000 riders have undergone professional training and race preparation, playing a significant role in the growth of organised motorsports in the country.
For the 2026 season, the Women’s Training and Selection category is open to participants under 40 years of age, born between January 1, 1987, and January 1, 2011, with previous year’s champions, including winners, runners-up, and second runners-up, not eligible to participate. The Rookie Selection category is open to riders between 15 and 21 years of age, born between January 1, 2006, and January 1, 2011, who hold a Level 1 FMSCI Training School certification and are required to be accompanied by a guardian at the selection venue.
Winners from previous seasons are not eligible for this category. The TVS Apache RR 310 selection is open to riders under 30 years of age, born between January 1, 1997, and January 1, 2011, who are either National Championship riders with a minimum of one podium finish or One Make Championship riders with at least one podium finish, excluding previous year’s winners.
The PETRONAS TVS India One Make Championship features multiple categories catering to riders at different stages of their racing journey. The TVS Apache RR 310 OMC, launched in 2018, is designed for experienced racers and features the high-performance TVS Apache RR 310 race motorcycle, with more than 300 riders having competed in the category so far, many of whom have progressed to national and international championships.
