TVS Motor Company, a global leader in two- and three-wheeler manufacturing, has partnered with Swiss startup Aegis Rider to introduce an innovative Augmented Reality (AR) Heads-Up Display (HUD) Helmet at EICMA 2025, the world’s premier motorcycle exhibition. The unveiling took place at the TVS pavilion, where the helmet was showcased alongside other advanced mobility and connectivity products under the TVS Connect segment.
The Aegis Rider Vision Helmet, featuring TVS branding, represents a major leap in rider-assist technology. Using spatial anchoring and augmented reality, the helmet projects essential information—such as navigation, hazard alerts, and incoming calls—directly in the rider’s line of sight. This setup allows motorcyclists to stay focused on the road, enhancing both safety and situational awareness without causing visual distractions.
Visitors at EICMA can experience live demonstrations of the helmet integrated with the TVS Apache RTR 310, highlighting how this innovation redefines modern riding experiences. This collaboration marks a major advancement in intelligent riding technologies. The HUD Helmet utilizes AR to deliver real-time data like speed, navigation, and safety alerts, displayed seamlessly through a spatially anchored interface that moves naturally with the rider’s perspective.
Constructed with a carbon fiber shell, the helmet integrates magnetic binocular AR glass and a µOLED projection system with adaptive brightness and anti-glare functions for optimal visibility. It is powered by a Qualcomm processor and a 7,000mAh rechargeable battery providing up to four hours of use, with wireless connectivity to both motorcycles and smartphones. Additional features include a 5MP action camera, music controls, and hands-free communication, while meeting ECE 22.06 and DOT safety certifications.
Simon Hecker, Founder and CEO of Aegis Rider, explained “We’ve spent five years developing a technology that anchors visual data in space relative to the rider. Our standalone helmet presents dashboard information through a head-up display that stays fixed in front of the motorcycle, unaffected by movement. The integrated version with TVS and Norton extends this to include motorcycle data like RPM, gear position, fuel level, and more.”
Displayed within the TVS Connect zone, the AR helmet demonstrates the future of connected and intelligent mobility, reinforcing TVS’s vision for smarter, safer, and more intuitive riding. The partnership reflects both companies’ commitment to innovation, integrating engineering precision with next-generation digital systems.
Future developments are expected to incorporate ride assistance, V2X (vehicle-to-everything) connectivity, and cloud-based ride analytics, expanding the functionality and intelligence of Aegis Rider’s AR ecosystem. The initiative builds upon TVS Motor Company’s broader strategy of redefining connected mobility. The TVS Connect zone also features the TVS X, India’s first Android Auto–integrated electric scooter, developed in collaboration with Google, offering wireless pairing, voice-enabled navigation, and infotainment access through Google Assistant. Additionally, TVS showcased its suite of Connected Services, designed to integrate smartphones, smartwatches, and home devices with vehicles for enhanced safety, convenience, and personalization.
