TransportOne by Delhivery has announced the launch of its Autonomous Transport Management System (TMS), a next-generation logistics platform designed to automate freight operations using AI-driven agents. The system enables enterprise shippers to manage transportation workflows with minimal manual intervention.

The Autonomous TMS uses AI agents to handle key logistics functions including freight rate negotiations, shipment planning, execution monitoring and invoice reconciliation. By embedding compliance and decision-making directly into workflows, the platform significantly reduces operational overhead and manual effort.

Unlike traditional TMS platforms that require constant human input, TransportOne’s system operates independently and escalates only genuine exceptions. This “manage-by-exception” approach allows logistics teams to shift their focus from operating systems to supervising outcomes.

According to Uday Anand, Vice President – Product at TransportOne, conventional transportation management software digitises processes but still relies heavily on users. He said the Autonomous TMS reverses that model by allowing AI agents to plan, negotiate, monitor and validate freight operations in the background.

The platform features a multi-agent architecture. Procurement agents manage spot bidding and carrier allocation, execution agents track shipments and proactively address delays, while invoice agents validate freight bills by reconciling contracts, GPS data and proof of delivery. This reduces revenue leakage caused by billing errors and rate deviations.

User interaction is simplified through natural language commands on Microsoft Teams and WhatsApp, removing the need for complex dashboards. The platform is positioned as an autonomous operator rather than a visual reporting tool.

Delhivery is India’s largest fully integrated logistics services provider, operating a nationwide network that covers nearly 19,000 pin codes. Since inception, the company has processed over 4 billion shipments and serves more than 48,000 customers across e-commerce, SMEs and enterprise sectors.
