Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global leader in IT services, consulting, and business solutions, has strengthened its strategic collaboration with Oracle by launching India’s first Oracle AI Data Platform Lab and Center of Excellence (CoE) in Kolkata. The new facility is designed to help enterprises harness the full value of their data and accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence across business operations.

Located at Delta Park Lords in Kolkata, the facility will serve as a dedicated innovation hub where organizations can experiment, develop, and scale AI-powered solutions using advanced cloud and data technologies. The initiative addresses some of the most common challenges enterprises face in their AI journeys, including fragmented data environments, limited scalability, slow analytics processes, and operational inefficiencies.

The lab combines the strengths of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Autonomous AI Database, and enterprise AI technologies to help businesses transform raw data into actionable insights. Through reusable architectures, pre-built accelerators, industry-specific frameworks, and best practices, organizations will be able to move from concept development to implementation more efficiently.

The facility will support enterprises across industries in developing intelligent applications, automating business processes, and enhancing decision-making capabilities. It is expected to play a significant role in helping companies modernize their digital ecosystems while improving productivity and operational performance.

Arvind Mehra, Head of Alliances and Channels – Technology, Oracle India, said the collaboration is aimed at helping enterprises create measurable business outcomes by simplifying and operationalizing AI adoption. He noted that a strong data foundation remains essential for organizations looking to unlock the full potential of artificial intelligence.

Sudipto Ray, Vice President and Global Head of Oracle Practice at TCS, said the lab will provide customers with access to Oracle’s advanced AI capabilities, cloud technologies, and database solutions. The facility is intended to accelerate innovation by enabling organizations to rapidly test, refine, and deploy AI-driven business solutions.

As part of its long-term strategy, TCS plans to establish similar Oracle AI Data Platform Labs and Centers of Excellence in four additional Indian cities over the next three years. The expansion reflects growing demand for AI-enabled business transformation and intelligent data management solutions.

The launch reinforces TCS’ continued investment in next-generation analytics, intelligent data platforms, and AI engineering capabilities. With a large pool of Oracle-skilled professionals supporting global clients, the company remains focused on helping enterprises unlock value from data and build future-ready digital operations.

Founded in 1968, TCS operates across 56 countries with a global workforce supporting clients across industries worldwide. The company continues to focus on AI-led digital transformation initiatives spanning infrastructure, data platforms, enterprise systems, and intelligent business operations.
