Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced the integration of NVIDIA’s accelerated computing technologies into its retail software solutions, aiming to support global retailers in adopting AI capabilities more efficiently and cost-effectively. As part of this initiative, TCS is incorporating NVIDIA AI Enterprise software into its suite of retail platforms to support functions such as supply chain optimization, in-store operations, video analytics, and personalized marketing. The collaboration includes the use of NVIDIA’s AI tools for computer vision, generative AI, and digital twin simulations.

TCS, which works with several of the world’s largest retailers, will deploy these capabilities through its proprietary platforms such as TCS Optumera™, TCS Omnistore™, and TCS AI WisdomNext™. The company estimates that the combined use of its solutions with NVIDIA infrastructure can reduce operational costs by as much as 75% compared to alternative technologies.

TCS has integrated NVIDIA AI Enterprise into its WisdomNext™ platform to support the deployment of generative AI across retail operations. This platform enables retailers to test and implement AI-driven solutions for customer engagement, product onboarding, and marketing content creation. By leveraging NVIDIA’s NeMo microservices and NIM models, retailers can scale these capabilities efficiently to enhance personalization and improve speed to market.

For in-store operations, TCS is utilizing NVIDIA Metropolis to power advanced video analytics. This technology supports real-time monitoring of shelf availability, customer queues, and shrinkage incidents. Implementation results have shown tangible benefits, including a 15% reduction in inventory losses, a 20% increase in shelf replenishment efficiency, and improved workforce planning through more accurate staffing forecasts.

TCS has also introduced AI-driven competitive intelligence through its DataBureau platform. This solution analyzes competitor activity in real time—covering pricing, promotions, assortments, and digital content. Built with NVIDIA NeMo, the platform achieves over 96% accuracy in product matching and enables faster strategic decisions, cutting reaction times from weeks to hours. Retailers using this system have seen revenue increases of up to 5% through optimized pricing and assortment strategies.

To support more informed decision-making, TCS is working on simulation tools for retail planning using the NVIDIA Omniverse platform and its proprietary Optumera™ system. These tools allow users to model pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and store layouts in virtual environments before applying changes in real-world operations. By simulating “what-if” scenarios, retailers can reduce trial-and-error costs and improve planning efficiency by over 20%.

Together, these AI applications enable a more intelligent, responsive, and cost-efficient retail environment. By combining domain expertise with NVIDIA’s AI infrastructure, TCS is equipping retailers to adapt quickly to market changes, optimize operations, and deliver better customer experiences.

Azita Martin, Vice President and General Manager for Retail & CPG at NVIDIA, stated that AI is increasingly being used across retail for functions ranging from virtual assistants to digital twin simulations. She noted that the collaboration allows TCS to deliver these capabilities directly through integrated platforms, enabling faster performance and increased operational agility for retailers.

TCS has also established a dedicated business unit focused on NVIDIA technologies. This includes 12 solution offerings across various sectors and nine centers of excellence. The company is also training staff in technologies like Omniverse and generative AI to expand its internal capabilities. At the 2025 NVIDIA GTC event, TCS was recognized as a “Rising Star” for its AI-focused innovations in the retail sector.
