Tata Steel has achieved a major milestone with its B2MSME e-commerce platform, DigECA, surpassing ₹1,000 crore in Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) in the ongoing financial year (FY26). The platform has also delivered over 160 kilo tonnes (KT) in sales and added more than 3,500 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to its network. This accomplishment highlights DigECA’s expanding influence in accelerating the digital transformation of India’s MSME sector—referred to within Tata Steel as Emerging Corporate Accounts (ECAs).
Built to simplify and streamline steel procurement, DigECA provides ECAs with a comprehensive omni-channel experience that includes integrated financing solutions, real-time order tracking, and specialized technical assistance. The platform mainly focuses on flat steel products such as Tata Astrum, Tata Steelium, and Galvano, offering the combined benefits of Tata Steel’s product quality and digital efficiency.
Commenting on the achievement, Prabhat Kumar, Vice President – Marketing & Sales (Flat Products), Tata Steel, said, “Reaching ₹1,000 crore in GMV and achieving 160 KT in sales reflects the strong confidence our ECA customers have in DigECA. The platform is about more than just transactions—it’s about fostering long-term relationships, enhancing customer engagement, and integrating the MSME value chain to meet evolving market needs.”
Since its pilot launch in Q4 FY25, DigECA has achieved 30-fold growth, driven by Tata Steel’s commitment to innovation, customer focus, and digital integration. The platform’s progress aligns with the company’s broader mission to digitize the steel supply chain and promote inclusive industrial growth across the country.
Through DigECA, Tata Steel continues to pioneer digital transformation in the steel sector, empowering MSMEs with modern tools, services, and support systems that enable them to scale their businesses and contribute to India’s industrial advancement.
